Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I cant get my head around this @rse licking for Roy, whats he ever won? He took Blackburn to the brink of relegation, Fulham finished on 40 points last season. hes 62 and has won feck all, or are people thinking he's boss because he got Fulham to the Europa League final?

I cant believe the club are even considering him well actually I can because they dont know their @rse from their elbow either.

We can kiss, Torres, and Gerrard goodbye if he comes in and replace Torres with Zolton Gera, this appiontment cannot happen.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

you answered your own question. Blackburn and Fulham - hardly gonna push for the league title with them teams was he?

put him in charge of a team with a spine of world class players and he may well just prove his worth. Maybe he wont too but he looks like he'll get the chance.

and it's not ar$e licking - it's called 'supporting our next manager' (if he should get the job).

Like people supported rafa you mean ???

Would Chelsea, United, Spurs, Arsenal, City want him?

The answer is no and he should not even be considered for such a big club, this is on par with the signing of Robbie keane that shouldnt have happened neither should this, mark my words it will all end in tears even before the Christmas.

0-0 draws all over the shop 10 men behind the ball, if people thought Rafa was defensive wait till this fella arrives.

Doesnt no one remember the end of last season when Fulham came to Anfield and the yard dogs didnt even move over the halfway line?
Feck my life might aswell give fat Sam the job they are of the same ilk.

But tbh i stand by what i said.
It has been winding me up alot all this Rafa loves the club stuff.
Maybe he does, but how do we actually know ?
He walked away with 6 million compo and straight into a reportedly higher paid job.
Why does he deserve compensation then ?
And why do lots of fans think he should have got the full 16 million ?

We know Rafa loves the club cos he stayed for 6 seasons.  After his first 3 VERY successful seasons the American's wanted to sack him and replace him with Klinsmann.  Later Tom admitted that he had never even heard of Klinsmann.

We all know Rafa had interest from Madrid.  But did he leave us then?  No
he stayed and fought on.  When the owners broke promises outlined in his contract, did he leave then?
No he fought on and kept quiet despite being denied what he was promised.

They forced him out of the club and he walked for less than half of what he was entitled to.

Have any English clubs other than UTD and Chelsea being more successful than Liverpool under Rafa?  and they have far bigger spending power than us.

You seem to really hate Rafa.  I hope you enjoy what Roy brings to the table.  He'll be under serious pressure if he gets the job since half the fans dont want him at all.

I for one would not be annoyed to see Woy come to Anfield, we could do a lot worse.

Just on Hodgson, would any of you have even considered him for the job if he hadn't overachieved and got Fulham to the Europa League final last season?

I would yeah, dont forget the season before when he took over Fulham and they were more or less relegated. He miraculously kept them up including being 2-0 down at City with 20 mins to go needing a win to stay up. The won 3-2!

He has managed Inter Milan twice and has vast experience at international level and knows the European game and style very well from his managerial travels across Europe.

This guy is no mug, he may talk funny but he knows his stuff.

Only in football could you win feck all for 3 or 4 seasons and still be entitled to compensation.
he has walked into a new job immediately so why should we pay him anything ?

I believe he has an affection for the club, love though ?

financially makes sense to have kenny in for the owners, 1 less salary and no compensation package for a manager at another club

missed it too, i'll go have anther look now

It's on the Liverpool Daily Post website

Anyway, I keep harping on about giving Roy a chance if he becomes the gaffa but my personal feeling/opinion is that Kenny would be a wise choice and despite been out of managment for a decade iM sure he could sort us out.
