I cant believe I just heard Jamie Redknapp mention "the two best mangers in the Premier
League last season, after Ancelottie, were Roy Hodgson and Harry Redknapp.

Is he trying to tap up his own feckin Dad??!!

Paul - I don't think the club will commit to the kind of contract that Hiddink or
Van Gaal would (quite rightly) insist upon.

Roy Hodgson would take a small 2 year contract I think.

I would say go :censored: ya self but you clearly in love with you self so much that you do that every night at 10pm.

Stop talking like you understand football , MON is agreat manager so is hodgson.

People at this club really need to back the :censored: up and think about what they are saying shankly never managed a big club before us and look what he did.

We need a down to earth british manager to tell the team how it is and get some pride back in that dressing room enough said.  :glare:

I'm not sure who i would want, but my guess is either Hodgson or Klinsmann will be our next manager.

who knows what MON or Hodgson could do with a decent team? They've never really had a chance to manage one. MON has done ok with what he has at Villa, put him in charge of a team that contains the best striker in the world, one of the best midfielders and one of the best goalkeepers in the world and lets see what he makes of that. I think we may be quite suprised to be honest. the old saying 'you cant polish a turd' comes to mind while he's at Villa but MON in charge of Liverpool could be a good thing. He'd have to learn the 'pass and move' style of play though and ditch the hoof ball.

Not sure if its been mentioned or not, but what about Manuel Pellegrini???  Just sacked from Real Madrid who sack everyone!

Speaks fluent english!

Took Villareal to champs league for 1st time and then following season to champs league semi final, hardly did it on a big budget!

Got real madrid their highest ever points tally but barca still pipped them!

On percentage points is the 2nd most successful south american club manager in la liga!

Gotta say I think we could do alot worse (and probably will) than Pellegrini - plays great football, just took Madrid to their biggest ever points total as well as doing wonders at Villarreal. Another shout would be Michel at Gatafe, he had that little club playing like Brazil last year though probably hasnt enough experience yet.

I think the next manager has to be someone all the players respect. I cannot see Hodgson being respected or O Neil to be perfectly honest. In fact the only candidates i think the players will respect are Kenny or Guus Hiddink.

If Kenny steps in, I'll be happy. I'll be even happier if he stays the course. But, honestly, I cannot see it happening. It just isn't in the air. But, you know how weird football is.

Short of that, then I think Martin O'Neil would be a good punt. I think he has a lot of fire in his belly and Liverpool may need that in the next few seasons.
