I think if we are to have the same level of craziness in the boot room as there is in the board room, our only option is Maradona.  We would probably be able to keep Masch, maybe even get Aguero to put in a transfer request.  I don't think we would be very good, but it doesn't seem like we are headed for good times anyway, might as well be entertaining.

haven't looked through all 46 pages, but I'll try and see if I can throw out some new names:

Claude Puel:  current Lyon manager, won french league with Monaco, and went to the CL semis this year
Didier Deshamps: current Marseilles manager, just won the French league, CL finalist with Monaco, brought Juve ought of Serie B.  This is actually a pretty good CV, league and European success and not afraid to take over big clubs in need of help.  Also has a pair of french league cups
Dunga: Brazil coach won confederations cup

Jose Segura: our current technical manager at the academy. Won the double with Olympiakos in his only year
managing at senior level.  came here to replicate barca's youth academy in Liverpool, but was only supposed to stay for one year after he set up the system.

And I am assuming that Pellegrini, Rijkaard, and Lippi have all been mentioned.

And I know it sounds ridiculous in this day and age, but I don't think that Carra should be too far down the list.  He knows the squad really well, he knows the history of the club, the city, he has a passion for the club, he has said he would like to manage, he knows the league well . . .

No one from the uk then ?

Make same mistake as before filling a square peg in a round hole ?

We need a manager that knows this league we can't guess now we need someone that understands english football.

I have a very low expectation so i won't be disappointed if we drop further down on the table. It doesn't matter who will be our manager next since he will only be here till a new owner is found. He knows that and the players know that. Hope they can work together some how. Now the owner will have an excuse not to spend since they can just say "let's see how the new manager works with the team we have and go from there".

That's rather short sighted, limiting us to the 'best of the rest' and would probably end up with Bruce, Woy, SOUTHGATE, McLaren, fat sam, Curbs, McCarthy or someone equally sh 1te - I'd thrown in MON as he is equally sh 1te, but too many get hard ons just at his mention

Foreign managers can adapt, or did you miss Wenger, Mourinho, and now Ancelotti coming in? Or perhaps you think a manager with no experience of managing a big club would succeed over a quality manager and that every club only brings in managers with experience in their league. I believe the Lyon manager isn't a bad call. Wenger is the one who fits the bill best, managed to win three league titles despite competing with bigger spending clubs, has a fantastic eye for a bargain and great players, and does wonders with their youth team.

Perhaps the epitomy come epitaph of Rafa should be that despite how much he spent, and how many players he bought, Gerrard and Carra were still two of the best (5-6) players and he inherited them

If Roy Hodgeson takes over the reigns or any other poor manager of this ilk, thats the end for me the final nail in the coffin and believe me theres quite a few nails in my coffin already.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

been saying the same things for months when people have said rafa out, in the pub and on here.......... who in is the question

david moyes............... please drown yourself for saying that!!!!!!!!!!

mon........................... won the scottish title and done f!ck all else, i could win the jock league

roy hodgeson............... one good season in a long and dreary life in football

keegan....................... just what we need

mark hughes................ i would have my tattoo of a liver bird removed and take up watching ice hockey or crown green bowling

lippie........................... thought he was dead

the list of average mangers is endless, and so is the line of brainless fans that wanted the fat spainsh waiter gone, your names are listed and i will wait for you to turn on the next manager,

i admit rafa made some shocking decisions but he always played the best cards he was dealt for me the signing of jemain pennant when rafa wanted danny alvez sums it up.............  a sad day for the club,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, GET THE YANK CANCER OUT OF OUR BELOVED CLUB

I doubt I'll be as depressed by the appointment as some of the names so called "Liverpool fans" keep touting, unless of course they get their wish and then I will be depressed. Big NO to MON, Woy, fat sam, curbs, in fact let's avoid anyone English or British.

Can't believe people are saying Keegan. A guy who walks out on every club when the going gets tough.

I don't think there will be a quick appointment anyway, Kenny will be caretaker until club is sold, with the mess we are in I cannot see anyone wanting to come just yet.

Long term Hodgson would get my vote.
