I agree 100%. It makes me laugh when people in the media come out and say that they've heard from "sources" that Gerrard doesn't like Rafa and other such nonsense. I bet he wasn't saying the same when the manager was the first to come and and back him up 100% when he was in court last year.

You know, mate, I don't think there's any question that Rafa's has had to follow a sell before you buy policy to finance a lot of transfers and that has taken a toll in terms of the kind of talent we can go shopping for each transfer window.

But... (and it's a big but for me)

No one put a gun to his head and forced him to sign some of the dross he did. In fact, I'd have much rather have seen Rafa sit on his hands over the last two seasons and work on getting the best out of the players he had than play the transfer window roulette game. Why? Because he seems to have almost systematically sold better players in order to free up funds to buy worse players. In fact, if you really want to cry, play that youtube video backward and look who we've shipped out to bring some of them lads in. Riise for Dossena, Bellamy for Ngog, Crouch for Voronin, Kewell for Babel, Finnan for Degen, etc. IMHO, he didn't need to show so many good players the door in the past couple of seasons and he surely could have done much better in selecting their replacements, even without a cash injection from the owners.

What i will say is that in this case there is no smoke without fire.
Yes i feel SOME of the media reports have been far off but some have go a lot of truthin them.

In my view Rafa lost the back of the team some time ago and due to this Torres is finding it hard to play for him, I also think there are other players in our team that feel the same, When torres was taken off in that game we found out what SG made of it.

we lost Alsono due to Rafa..it was not down to money it was not down to a better offer, it was donw to the way he was treated by Rafa.
