Benny The Noon wrote:There is the prob mate , Liverpool fans don't go protesting against the manager and the majority always support the manager even if they don't agree with what he is doing , you never hear any chants against the manager or even against previous managers

Its not quite that anymore mate. During Liverpools last home game when the players were doing their lap of honour (?) someone tried to raise a banner supporting Rafa....... it was pulled down by other fans. So things are changing!

No i think that's the other way around saint mate . Someone in the boxes unvailed a banner slagging rafa and there was murder mate , people trying to get into the box and that . THe stewards made them take it down .

No mate, it was both. Definately! The blokes in the box had the window banged on and threats were made, then when someone in thE KOP tried to raise a banner supporting Rafa, that was taken down by force (or intimidation) too.

Saint i was at the Chelsea game an what Igor  saying is right mate , Someone tried to unfold a banner in the posh part and there was caos, the abuse they took was unmerciful, i was in the kop an can honestly say i never seen noone unfold any flag against Rafa mate , they were singing his name , Same against Athletico a good few times , Ask Rob he was with me, I know the lads with the Rafa waver an it was being waved for ages , cant see anyone telling them not to take down that waver , its always there , Theres a new one being made an all ,

I know a banner was taken down iN the Centenery stand Nanny. This wasn't the Centenary stand it was at the front of the KOP. It was a banner in support of Rafa and the people waving it were told to take it down...... and they did. Maybe it was just for the "lap of honour" but thats when it happened.

Ill have to ask the lads what happend , the ones who usualy have the Rafa and Paisley an the Pepe wavers all sit round the front and leave there flags there during the game ,ill ask them what happend, maybe it was a small flag

So has Rafa turned them down or have they decided to go elsewhere ?

Decided to go elsewhere. Apparently they believe that Rafa has been using them.

players have let rafa down as well as his mistakes this season, the doom and gloom surrounding the club has heaped more pressure and contributed
to an abortion of a season along with the injury's to key players

it must be hard to work under the yanks, looking back the money that was used to buy Aquilani could of been better spent on getting another striker and moving Gerrard back into midfield

I think he should be allowed to be given another chance next year to try and improve and maybe the players will give a little extra like last year

Always best to check with people you know and who were actually there Nan.

Unlike yourself, far too often we get "reports" from people who weren't there and yet we're expected to take their word as gospel.

I would think the deadline ran out mate, they said he had to make his decision by this week I think ?

All I can find mate :-

by the Daily Mail

Juventus are on the verge of abandoning their pursuit of Rafa Benitez and turning instead to Sampdoria coach Luigi Del Neri.

Mindful that Benitez declared his intenton to remain at Liverpool less than 24 hours earlier, the Juventus board met yesterday morning and discussed an approach for Del Neri, who is out of contract in the summer after leading Sampdoria to the brink of Champions' League qualification.

Significantly, Del Neri has stalled over accepting a double-your-money wage offer of £1.5million a year from his Sampdoria bosses and has indicated an interest in taking over at the Stadio Olimpico.

Sampdoria chief executive Giuseppe Marotta is about to be installed as Juventus' director general, and Del Neri said: 'He hasn't asked me to go with him yet. Who would not want to join Juventus? But it takes two to tie the knot, and there have been no offers for me so far.'

Oh for f'ucks sake , here we go again. Don't even know your son Saint so how could I attach any veracity to anything you might have attributed to something he said, bearing in mind a lot would depend on whether you were picking him up before or after he'd had a night out on the p'iss.

"5000 spirits or the layers of an onion" , it's not alway about YOU Saint., I was merely seconding Nans opinion that she should check with someone who was actually there which obviously wasn't YOU.
