Wolves vs Liverpool 16/09 12:30

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Fri Sep 15, 2023 5:45 pm

Tommy Doyle could make his debut for Wolves after recovering from a minor knee issue.

However, fellow midfielder Joe Hodge is set to miss out because of a thigh injury.

Liverpool will be without Trent Alexander-Arnold due to the hamstring issue he sustained during the win over Aston Villa.

They also remain without the suspended Virgil Van Dijk, but Ibrahima Konate has returned to training.

Early kick off lads, let's keep the momentum going.

Last season - Failed to win any of their six Saturday 12.30pm kick-offs last season (D3, L3), five of which were away from home

Temporarily could go top of Epl.

Great to have the footy back but lot of trepidation about the early kick off + away fixture combo. Usually spells dropped points for us so let’s hope tomorrow is different

I'd go something like this. Not sure what sort of shape the South American boys will be in after playing in the early hours of Wednesday morning and then having to take a long haul flight back to the UK. A 12.30ko away is no exactly ideal for them.

Alisson

Robertson
Matip
Konate
Gomez

Endo
Jones
Szoboszlai

Salah
Jota
Gakpo

Potential banana skin match, let's hope we put in a good performance and end our game being top of the league (even if its just for a couple of hours).

I'd like to see Darwin get another start - he caused havoc against Villa and couple have easily got a couple of goals.

I think Nunez came off the other night after 45mins with muscular issues so might not be available at all.

Massive game today.

Why is it after an international break our players look like they have never played together before.

Hopefully Mac Allister wakes up quickly. 3 times he's given the ball away in dangerous areas!! And he's not got the legs to catch up for his own mistakes.

Terrible first half. Everyone apart from Sobozlai maybe look half asleep. We're lucky to be only one down, should have been more. Hopefully we get our act together in the second half and get atleast something from this game.

Awful performance so far. Can only hope Jurgen rips into them. Some changes desperately needed in attitude, tactics and personnel.

Pretty poor half alright and lucky it's still only 1.0. Need to step it up this half or accept defeat.

Our story so far...total lack of tempo, lethargy, a couple of steps slower to everything...let's hope this wakes the lads up
