Liverpool Football Club - Games

Well at the end all we got today was an injury to a key player. Thiago didn't look very happy when he came off so the injury will probably prevent him from playing in the final. Great.

Villa gave it a good go but as we well know it takes a bit of doing beating City at the Etihad.
Ultimately we fell just short but what a magnificent 9 month long effort by Jürgen and the lads.
Can't praise them enough.
Proud to be a red. YNWA.

Etihad got littered with plastics rubbish all over...a catastrophic environment disaster

BOLLUX !!! I would have preferred that City had thrashed Villa instead of coming back from losing 2-0.

Massive shame about Thiago  :)

Well done Reds whatever happens it’s been a great season  :(

Thiago injury screws things for Saturday now. Gutted today, I really thought there is no way City will score 3 now.

At least we gave Origi a proper send off. I hope he still appears in the final, but I doubt it.

Wonder if we had lead how different the mood would've been especially when they were 2-0 down. All ifs and buts, feel deflated here.
Coutinho scoring the second just felt poetic. To be honest I'd preferred it had City just smashed them instead of the way it happened.

Thiago a doubt for final, just hope we win ucl to remove this disappointment.

This is correct, by us unable to find a winner when we needed it must have given them encouragement. Had we been up when City were 2-0 they may have just rolled over. I guess we will never know now. Deeply gutted!

I don’t like that we were patting ourselves on the back for a great season, that should be left for the end of season. If we go on to lose the CL final it would be very disappointing. I’d say we need the CL to salvage our season.

I agree mate and glad we've got the UCL final this week so we can put this disappointment aside. Just hope we win it now, losing that would be too hard to take.

Really gutted but proud of our lads.

Klopp has over played the first team and they're now running on fumes. We made mistakes yesterday, bringing on Millie instead of Elliot or Minamino. Bringing on a clearly match unfit Bobby. Being unable to break down Wolves until so late.

That wasn't our usual high tempo game, we were sluggish, even lethargic. If we'd gone 2-1 or 3-1 up on 55 minutes then City wouldn't have fought back. Our inability to score pushed City to come back, we had the chance to kill the league race and we couldn't take it. Mane was brilliant but a one man show, Jota and Diaz were blunt, Mo was so full of doubt when he came on. Bobby gave the ball away so many times.

Honestly lads, I really fear for Paris.....

It was a very bad game and the display by Klopp's team the team and changes were totally wrong and awful, that bum Keita was a total waste of time, and he was replaced by another bum, none of the midfield players were able to create apart from Thiago who was carrying an injury (he and Fabinho will be a massive loss for the UCL final) Jones and Minamino should have been introduced at half time. Just reflect back at the last 6 games, we have given it away to City when we drew our terrible home match against Spurs, I knew we have lost then.

A massive clear-up and signing are needed, getting rid of Keita and origi is a top priority and must keep Mane whereas there are many clubs after him, and you cannot say the same about Salah who only plays well in the first part of every season he does not worth a madness new contract of 500K a week!!!!

Good Luck Lads

If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it. Your match threads have brought us wins.
