Liverpool vs Wolves 12/05 15:00 ko

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby redshade » Fri May 10, 2019 12:51 am

Final game of the season lads and what a season it has been.

One eye will be on what is happening at Brighton however we still must focus on getting 3 points.

Robertson is out but Salah and Firmino should be back.

We will have a few weeks break after this so lets go full strength and finish the season off in style.

3-0 to us.

Brighton 1-1 City.

EPL winners!!!!!!!!!!

I’m still trying to rationalise what happened the other night...let’s hope final match day holds similar surprises...

Wolves might go for the cynical win suspecting that LFC won't want to play a physical game, they certainly won't be a push over. We need to start with the full first team and only if we get a 2 goal cushion can we rotate.

That said there's a clear 2 week break prior to the CL final for recovery. I see that Harry Kane is trying to convince people he'll be ok to play....

I think there is no need to rotate for the CL final reg. Let's go for it. Even if city doesn't lose let's finish 2nd with a feckin bang! Cause that's how we role...

Still have a chance to win the league with one game left...

We just win our game, that's all we can do. Wolves will be no pushover though as in top half of the table.

Brighton have nothing to play for as they are safe, so they would have to play the game of their lives to uproot City.

I'm fully expecting us to finish second, but you never know....

Well, after Tuesday, anything is possible. No pressure on us, all the pressure on City. Let's give it a go, who knows what can happen.

Robo is out of this one and maybe Firmino as well. Both should be available for the final though.

Alisson

Trent
Matip
VVD
Milner

Fabinho
Hendo
Gini

Salah
Mane
Origi/Firmino if fit

Let's hope City players think the job is done...

Anything can happen and we'll beat Wolves. Can Brighton do us a favour?

Anfield has become a fortress and opposing teams are finding it difficult to get a draw let alone a win. I’m confident we will win. Wolves are a good team and have had a great season but more importantly so have we.

Come on Brighton, celebrate your Premier League survival by getting something from City. You can relax and enjoy yourselves. Your work is done !!

Was watching Arsene Wenger being interviewed recently and he thinks every single manager in Europe HATES going to Anfield. The crowd, the lack of space between the fans and the pitch edge and the history results in many just buckling under the pressure.   :;):

“the lack of space between the fans and the pitch edge ”

And that’s why Anfield will never host a World Cup, European Championship game, of a CL or UEFA final. The fans are too close to the pitch.

Sadly it’s too great a stretch of the imagination to think that Citeh won’t batter Cardiff.
