LYON VS LIVERPOOL - Wednesday 4th november

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby RobinHood6969 » Sun Nov 01, 2009 5:49 am

Well Thought Manure victory to be setting the result trend reversal. We have lost 2 games after that. Lots of injuries and questionable substitutions. I still think Raafa hasnt lost the plot completely. Like all machines and human beings he too has his off days. Hope those are over and Our team recovers from the curse of injuries and flu.
Stevie G is stilll out as per newspapers.
So guess the team would be like this:
Reina

Johnson Carra Agger Insua

Yossi Masche Lucas Aurelio

Kuyt Torres

Havent got much time to get injury list and all that.Just want to quickly turn the attention from the wretched Fulham thread.  Just hoping the sun rises again and age of darkness is over

Come one Redmen. Nothing less than a win..
I expect a 2-1 victory Expecting aquaboy and stevie to come off bench and anyone of those to score a late late screamer

I think one reason we are doing this badly that nobody really
mentioned is that Bermenstein hasn't been opening the match threads...  :(

This could well be 'do or die', I was probably not the only one who sensed Rafa knows it and it was in his mind during the game yesterday - certainly in taking off Torres (1-1) and then Kuyt and Benayoun

well Rafa, your fate is in your hands...
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

I think the substitutions against Fulham were done with the game in France in mind.
We have been in these situations before and risen to the challenge - such as Marseilles away.
A draw would mean we still have a chance.. defeat would be a disaster but would it be a surprise?
Let's see what the starting 11 is.

Straight red card is a 2 match ban to all competetive games so am I right in saying that Carra is out of this game?

If he is then its time to try out the Agger Skrtel defence.. not the ideal time to try it out but ive always wondered what they would be like together. And Stevie G is injured! So the captain would be either Kuyt or Mascherano?

Anyways its a must win game. I think as long as the defence can hold and not let in any stupid goals then we will win this. Im assuming Aquilani will be back since he only had a virus but the chances on Rafa starting him are very very slim. I would love it if Rafa took the risk and started Aquilani.. we are fecking desperate and Lucas isnt really going to influence this game.

I cannot fecking believe it. Are we cursed or what? A must win game anyway, with no matter what team, even if it's a 11 Voronins team ffs! 2-1 to us.
