There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

That's a complete joke. It's like a perferct storm brewing up to kill us off when we're already down.

If Torres is really out then I think we need to go 4-4-2 as none of our other strikers can really be relied on to snatch a goal from a half chance.

I think we can still win this but we will have to play like we did against the mancs and not let our heads drop like we did against Fulham.

Not much point picking a team until we learn more about the injury/virus situation.

Yeah only in English football - not European. (I dont think anyway)

I think Torres and Glen will be fit.

Reina

Johnson - Carra - Agger - Insua

Kuyt - Mascherano - Lucas - Babel

Torres - Voronin

With the quoted players out and as much as it pains me to say it, I reckon Lyon will win 2-0.

With those players out then it would be extremely difficult to win .

1-0 to us, early goal and solid defending.

Come on the pool.

Just like the last game, and the one before that this is a massive game not just for the rest of our season but for our manager. A draw might be passable but that just makes the next CL game another massive one. Would love a game when it really does not matter what the outcome was.
We need Nando on Wednesday more than John needs Edward if he is unfit well i fear the worst, he gives the team such a boost even more so than Gerrard. Nando's exit on Saturday was the begining of the end.
I really want Rafa to pull us out of this mire, to be honest it is not all his fault injuries, form and just bad luck have not helped.
With Nando 0-3 (Torres, Bennie and Kuyt)
Without Nando 0-0

If Ngog plays...

Lyon 1 - 2 LFC  (Ngog 2)

If Ngog doesn't play...

Lyon 1 - 0 LFC

If we lose I suspect Rafa will part company by Friday this week. :(

Yeah becuase the defence has been outstanding so far hasn't it  :Oo:

To win this game we will need divine intervention and that was with all the players playing. If all those players are out then we are fecked but maybe we can get lucky who knows, Rafaf has always been a lucky manager, how else can you explain him earning £4.5 million a year.  :p
