Fecking brilliant

love it

this is the Liverpool I grew up hearing about!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

You've just gotta wonder where we'd have been if KK had been given the job last summer instead of last month.

Great to see Suarez slotting in so comfortably and if Carroll does just as well we'll be laughing our balls off. :D

Meireles is starting to really look the part, he may have poor periods in games but they are becoming more and more infrequent and he could be a lynch pin in our midfield over the next dew seasons.

Tonight is the most optimistic I felt about our future for a long time and I'm getting excited about our future.

Good game and comfortable performance, I just didn't feel like Stoke were getting back into the game (apart from Carew's sitter :D).

Steven Gerrard was MOTM for me

Contrary to what we thought was gonna be a 5-3-2 formation, we actually set up as 4-4-1-1, according to Charlie Nicholas on Skysports.

Skrtel was at Right Back, with Martin Kelly pushed up to Right Midfield.

as if that's how we set up.
Nicholas is clueless, yes the players at times played those positions but thats just down to players moving at times.
I was text yesterday saying we were playing 3 centre backs.
Thats what we played with Skrtel pushing right and Agger left.

I thought first half we were too deep and reserved but after about 10 minutes of the second half we were far far better.
Lucas was my mom, he won every header and was looking for incisive passes. Kuyt played well despite not having enough support at times.
The greek was really solid and skrtel had a much better game.
Not keen on that formation but can see why he did it with the way Stoke play and to be fair we won 2-0 with another clean sheet.
Luis looked very lively but first touch was of after not playing much. He is going to be a star though i am convinced about it.

All in all i am very happy tonight, thats 3 on the bounce  :)

Good performance, and nothing conceded. Can't wait for Suarez to find his fitness, we have a top player. Now we need to stuff el bastardos new mates.
