It's completely false. The original article was 'Real Madrid to sign LFC target Coentrao'
Apparently Aguero will also be joining Real. They're building quite a side! Aguero, Sahin and Coentrao.

Sahin? Nuri Sahin? What the hell is he thinking? I mean, he's a great player and all but with Xabi, Khedira, Lass and even Gago in the team, does he really plan that he'll ever start for the team?

He should have stayed in Dortmund and help them build a better club because they really have the potential to be a big club.

This thread was originally intended as a place to discuss hoped for summer transfer targets and how they addressed shortcomings in the squad.  I think it still has value if it keeps to that focus.  If it just becomes another place to discuss rumoured transfers, though, we'll look to shut this thread down and funnel discussion over to the thread linked above.

To be honest mate it's the end of season now and transfer talk is going to step up a few notches so its inevitable that folds in with who we would like to see.

Wants the fast track to success just like anyone who joins them does (good luck against Barca), honest to god id hate us to be a Real Madrid, they never build up a team and players are in and out constantly for the supporters to get a good bond with them. Its like oh i wonder whos joining the circus this year.

Going out and buying a load of players is not going to accelerate us back into the top 4. The team has shown under Kenny (and highlighted by Stevies interview yesterday) that the players we have are actually better than was thought.#

I maintain (as i have for years) that we need no more than THREE players this summer. This is enough to develop the squad without disturbing the team with too many new faces. As long as the players that come in improve the overhaul quality which in the past has not been the case we will see major improvements on the pitch.

On the other side of the coin, three in, only three out. Therefore a basic combination for me that will work would be:

In. Cahill/Baines/Downing or Young.

Out. Jova/Ngog/Konchesky    and there is the obvious Poulsen who has to go.

I would personally not go hunting for a marquee forward such as Aguero unless the money is there after we have strengthened in the areas we need it most and I dont think we will. I would love to see Suso being blooded this season and at last Pachecho being given a run. I think the style of football we are now playing is going to suit Danny more and with Suarez at the club he is going to learn and come on more.

There's a few links out there saying that we've just had a bid turned down for the lad. I haven't really seen him play so much so i don't really have an opinion but i'll tap up me father in law (Sunderland to the bone)and see what he thinks of him.
