Summer transfer targets.... - Who?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

We might finally get round to making a move for Arda Turan - we've been linked with the guy for aaaages. Fits the bill, 24 year old, attacking player, left winger. Don't know if left winger should be a priority though with Suarez enjoying himself over there that's my only concern

and yes people, I'm set on Sergio Arguero :D

I tried to keep an eye on James McCarthy when I watched MOTD last night but can't remember much of him (bar slipping and losing possession). I'd like someone with a decent passing range in the centre of the park

Chris Samba was a beast for Blackburn yesterday, I can see why he's touted for Arsenal now, not that I'd be convinced by him coming here, I'm just batting names about :D

Good strong defender him. don't know how old he is but if it's worth it - he'd fit the bill here.

Watched him on MOTD last night and he was superb. His positional sense is superb and he is very strong in the air and in the tackle. I would take him at Anfield in place of the Greek!

Bellamy? steven naismith? What are you lot smoking? We want to be pushing for the title again, not scrapping for 5th or 6th place again.

I'm with tubster on this one. Naismith is a good player, like Bougherra, if we're talking about adding to the squad then its all good, for a first 11 though, they would struggle to get in

I rate that Roger Johnson at Birmingham.Proper defender him, real fighter, and the sort of lad who will give everything for the team.

I don't rate Lescott at all anymore.  I used to, but since he's gone to city he has not been playing well at all.  Odemwingie is 28 years old so I'm not sure he's what we are looking for.  Enrique is seeming more and more likely as time goes on, and if Pardew wants Koncheskey in the deal then he can have him.  I think Bale is extremely overrated and he is injury prone.  He's been in and out of injuries all season and we don't need a player like that.  I look at what Ashley Young and Downing have done this season for Villa and I have to say it's impressive.  They aren't the same Villa as last year, but they have both managed quite a few goals and assists. Before Bent was traded there the striker with the most goals had 2 I believe.  It's kinda hard to get assists when your strikers don't score.  Although I do agree that I'm not 100% sure Downing is the right choice and I think Young will be heading to manure.

Don't know why anybody would wanna sell Lucas.  Sure, maybe we shouldn't start him, but he's worked so hard and been one of our most consistent players this season.  Like Kuyt he deserves to stay and fight for a spot.

Ive been singing the praises of McCarthy for a while now ,and would be delighted if we managed to procure his signature ...
If we don't get him the Mancs will  ???  imo  the ideal long term  replacement for Scholes ......Gael Clichy would be a real coup and a sure sign of our intentions for next season ..then add Dimitri Payet or Ashley Young .........

Yeah i echo no way about Lucas and Meireles needing to go.

Still have fond memories of German team in South africa so Thomas Muller would be my dream pick
