Really? You'd stop following the team because of a manager?

A manager of the caliber of Hughes, hodgeson and the likes yes I would it would just put the top hat on it from the Yanks and everything thats gone on in the past 3 years I am thinking about packing it all in, I dont know this club anymore. its not the one I grew up supporting.

It's a sad state of affairs when this thread is still at the top of the board.

The actual footie discussion is virtually non-existent. It's all about owners and whether you are anti-rafa or not.

I wouldn't want Hughes or Hodgeson at Anfield either Cigs and I agree, the club is a shadow of the one I started with in the 80's. But, to stop following the club because of a few temporary custodians?

No way.

For me it has to be a matter of when not if Rafa goes.

He has made his position untenable by simply making a promise he has failed to deliver. By guaranteeing a 4th place finish he has to deliver it, no excuses.

The yanks promised a spade in the ground within 60 days its now 60 months and still no new stadium on the horizon, they also promised us Snoogy Doggy he still hasnt joined either  :;):

The difference being the yanks broke their promises so we want them out.

A lot of successfull managers came from the total football nation...maybe we can bring one.

OK. Wish I knew the answer for sure to this, but name a Dutch manager that has won the English top flight title

Gullit? Er, no
Jol? Er, no

100% right, you live and die by your decisions.

Rafa's problem is his decisions and broken promises are under scrutiny and are what he is judged on.

The owners have lied but we expected that right? Politicians, bigwigs, all their words are temporary to satisfy investors and debtors.

But Rafa is a manager, the key driving force to lead a team to success. If he is foolish enough to 'promise' something he cannot achieve - he must go.

He must go because regardless of what he promised, being in the top 4 is something that Liverpool should be able to achieve.

Absolutely
I stopped going until they got rid of Souness.
I have every right as a supporter to choose when I want to watch LFC.
If all fans stopped going because they wanted Rafa out then he would be gone

The sad thing is, if we do end up with some second rate manager and therefore have to suffer more midtable mediocrity, the majority of people who couldn't stand Rafa will just lose interest in the club because it can never meet their expectations and ridiculous demands.

Infact, I'm getting to the point where I'm becoming ashamed of a large section of our "support".

This year is an exception, the club is close to implosion and you expect the players to be unaffected?
