Fecks sake. If the doctors are saying Dirks out for a month, that means there's a good chance he won't be fit for Sunday  That said, I fully expect him to be ready and available for the match after that :D .

Cole would be a good choice as a replacement.

Another who was immense for us today.  The work rate we've come to expect was there in spades and it's easy to forget he's coming off a 5 week lay-off.  The lad harried and harrassed for 83 minutes!  His movement was good, his build-up play was strong and his ball to Torres for the opener was fantastic: perfect weight and angle.  Welcome back Dirk! :nod

Have been happy to state on a fair number of occasions that he is one of our most important players and every time he plays he proves it -

Dirk thinks Kenny should be given the job full time

On the article on SSN its mentioned that every transfer fee paid for him he arranges 2.5% to go to his youth club Quick Boys. The guy is a pure class act

Dirk Kuyt is my favourite player right now. He may not be a prolific goal scorer but he works hard, plays for the team, create chances for others and he loves playing for Liverpool. He's a good role model for the rest to follow.

If I were KK, I'd put him either as an attacking midfielder or on the right wing. A nice asset to have for any club.

Luis Suarez is everything you mentioned as well, except that he is a prolific goal-scorer as well, which emphasizes on how limited Kuyt is as an attacker. i hope to see a 100% fit Joe Cole replace him soon, as Cole offers so much more and has way better passing and positional sense.

Kuyt has been one of our top performers this season. He must be a joy to play with. His workrate is 2nd to none and I see him continuing to play a key part in Kenny's team/squad over the next couple of years at least. Whether that be as a supporting striker, a wide man or part of a atacking midfield 3.

Great player IMO. I understand people when they talk about him being limited as an attacker but you have to remember that Rafa bought him as a striker and moulded him into a wide player.

A very valuable member of our team at the moment.
