It's natural for Real Madrid fans to want to give Rafa a shot. He's Spanish, a good manager, they probably remember the demolition job they suffered in last seasons Champions League pretty well, he's a Madrid man, and if he doesn't work out they'll bomb him out in eight months. Whether or not the Madrid hierarchy will view it the same way remains to be seen, and whether or not our owners will want Rafa to leave is extremely doubtful IMHO, even if they get a chance to offload him for free.
I wouldn't have thought there'd be too many British clubs queueing up for him should he move on, but teams like Juventus and Real Madrid are big names, and if the interest proves to be genuine (and of course it is all speck-you-lay-shun at this point) it'll test out Rafa's love for the club I should think. This will particularly be the case if like some of us he is coming to the conclusion that his particular methodology is forever doomed to failure in England. Somewhere like Juve, with the cattanacio style and the countless 1-0's might well appeal to him more.
We'll see anyway, but the owners won't let go of him easily. My guess is that he will still be manager at Liverpool next season.
