too good to be true

he's probably worth around 8-10 mill or somthing... if a manager likes him he could probably bid a few million more but nowhere near 28mill i wouldnt think...

anyways... id seriously sell him for anything upwards of 7mill ... if its transfer deadline day id probably round that figure to 10mill and still sell even if we cant bring anyone in... IMO Benayoun, Babel maybe even Keane would do a better job out there...

If Kuyt's worth 30 million I'm worth 1.5 anyday. Seriously though, any offer over and around 7 or 8 million would have to be looked at. If you imagine you'd top it up with the same amount of money again, we absolutely MUST be able to find a right midfielder who offers more than Dirk for 15 million surely.

Here's a thought. We moved Dirk to right modfield because he works hard and because he couldn't cut it as a striker. Is it possible that keane could be an option? Doesn't seem any more strange than playing Cisse at right wing to me anyway.

Juventus move for Liverpool's Kuyt dismissed
23.01.09 | Ian Ferris

The management team of Liverpool hitman Dirk Kuyt have denied reports that their client is set for a big money move to Italian giants Juventus, reports Goal.com

Il Corriere dello Sport reported that Juventus are ready to launch a 30million euro bid for the 28-year-old, and that Kuyt’s agent Robert Jansen has already spoken to the club.

"Nothing has happened," a high profile member of Kuyt’s management team, who wished to remain anonymous, exclusively told Goal.com.

"They write so many things. We don’t know anything. I think it is all lies."

When asked specifically if Jansen had met with Juventus, and was due to commence transfer talks, the official replied:

"We don’t know anything about these rumours. We know nothing about the whole situation.

"A lot of things could happen, but at the moment we know nothing. There is no news."

If this is all true, am I the only one alarmed by this?  Sure the money would be great and all, but I mean, If Kuyt is sold for 20-30 million, doesn't that just escalate the value of better players?  Sure in theory Rafa should take that money and get a true quality right mid/ winger, but what will stop a potential target's team from saying "You sold Kuyt for 30 million, our player is worth more than Kuyt."

Dangerous games indeed.  Of course it's an obvious decision to take the deal if it comes about, but I think a fine line is being walked on here, hell, it may have even been crossed already.

I won't celebrate Rafa going........ but I will be over the moon if Dalglish comes in. League within 2 years if he gets the job, AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THAT.

I think it is absolute bollux - Juve p.ssed about over the Alonso transfer and played with Rafa's head. They eventually went for a cheaper option because Ranieri claimed funds were tight!

Well if Kuytee is worth £28m you'd be lucky if you could afford Villa's left leg!! Sorry that didn't help your dream did it. I say we hold out for £35m and if Juve don't come up with the money then tell them to fk orf !!
