Dirk kuyt - Peace everyone

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Kuyt was no worse nor better than he normally is tonight. Leighton Baines wasn't exactly put through the ringer, but to bee fair neither was Hibbert at right full-back either. I don't mean this in an awful sense, but anybody expecting Dirk to be creative is setting themselves up for disappointment. He did what he always does, and aside form one missed through ball I really can't see why he was any worse than normal. He also provided the one laugh of the night when he bundled Riera over.

His performances up front are hardly his fault, he just did what he normally does. At least tonight he wasn't the worst front player on view.

agree with that line, but he is consistently poor, how anyone can deny is beyond me (not directly speaking to you mick)

is this statement some sort of joke, he's most effective when he's on the bench

To prove us Kuyt lovers wrong, give us examples of when Kuyt isnt involved since he has been with us of our successes, or is is it just easier to jump on the blaming bandwagon? I look forward to this ! Go on sonny, prove us wrong, list your:

Why Kuyt is better on the bench evidence:

how can i provide an example of when were better without him, he plays every single, and is consistently poor. If he was dropped we would improve no end IMO

How can you agree and yet disagree? This is where the problem lies. A scapegoat is always needed, a reason isnt.

Still baffles me why he plays there. I think we should find a replacement right attacker now if not then In the summer it is something that should be given priority

where the hell does Dirk play again? he seems ineffective wherever he is. We are sorely lacking a natural right attacking player and he's shown the ability he has up front in the few games he's had
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

His hardwork on the right have contributed to our position as well . Yes he has been poor this last 3 to 5 games or so but he has been upfront alone and isolated . Play him with a partner and see the difference .

When was he ever in good form?  yes he kicks the occasional goal, but he plays too many ordinary games

I think when we're talking about Dirks form or his goals, it's probably worth splitting up the time he plays on the left and the times he fills in up front. The first thing to consider is that when we are talking about him, people talk about the goals which he "scores", when it probably should be "scored". He had a golden spell earlier in the season, but it's dried up a fair while now. Up top he doesn't score as a rule.

All that said, he does a decent job on the right to be fair. We can't keep talking about all the goals he "scores" though when he doesn't actually do it.

Did the games occur consecutively or over the course of three seasons? ???

Surely Reina's celebration after Gerrard got his goal, when he ran over slid into the ground got his knee caught in the grass and nearly did his knee takes the cake. I was p1ssing myself at least. Don't know if it would have been quite as funny had he actually done any damage though.
