if not then I'd take a Chelsea win over a Man U win.

my feeling is the game against chelsea is D-day ...if we are still top after that ..we got a really really good chance ...then ofcourse at old toilet .. but then if we are top we always pull through when it really matters :)

Yes, I want revenge for the game at home. A dominant team, when is insulted at home, must go away and send a message in the form of a spanking. I'd like to see a 0-4.

As a mate has mentioned it may be actually easier to face Stoke at their stadium. Most English teams I've seen are very generous in the physical effort and passion, and when they're home, they feel more pushed to go to attack than continental teams, who sometimes park the bus even at home.

A must win.

every game is a must win now mate... so close to the holy grail ...

i'll expect nothing less than a 6 nil drubbing of stoke, with another 10 goals ruled offside, with 53 further attempts on goal, plus stoke having two men sent off for foul play with 5 mins to go

thrilling eh :D

I think it depends how early we score - if we score. Man Utd beat Stoke 5-0 at old trafford, they scored in the 3rd minute. Had our legitimate goal stood instead of being ruled out then we could have scored a few like the mancs did - or simply won - but the point is they got the early goal and took the poke out of Stoke.

really we should be talking about 'how many' we'll put past them and with Torres back in the frame we may just be doing that. If we get early goal - look out for a drubbing.

I'm putting this on as a bet...

Stoke 0 Liverpool 3 (Torres 3)

Hmmmm....Torres played in the home draw against Stoke and was very quiet. Just because he might play doesn't mean guaranteed goals.  :;):

0-5 or more!!

hattrick of THE KID!!

Easy match in my opinion, at home they can't be defending all the time, the public won't allow that

I suspect we will see a fair bit of styling here. Assuming Alonso doesn't play, the midfield duo will probably be Lucas and Masherano, Gerrard will play off Torres I think and Keane will be left to rue once again that after he scored two goals, where did it all go wrong. Aurelio will be shooed back into left back, Babel might just get the nod over Riera on the left, while Kuyt will come back infor whoever played on the right last time. All told it'll be four or five changes to the team (which was quite a strong one) against Preston. Further, I wouldn't be advising anyone to get too comfortable because that'll be the way for the next few weeks if not till the end of the season I think.

All that said, I fancy us to win comfortably enough and put the other two challengers for the league under pressure. I then take Man Utd to beat Chelsea with a bit in hand, and put the "Landeners" almost but not quite out of it. They'll then be staring down the gun barrel at having to go on a huge run of wins, and also go to Anfield and take the points. They aren't capable of either though with the team they have this season, and by the end of the month it'll be a two horse race, a dogfight to the finish between us and the Mancs.

I'm still giving us the maximum opportunity to rub egg all over my face by saying (and believing) that a combination of slight over styling and a reluctance to go all out for the win in tight matches will see us come up 3-4 points short, but a distance clear of Chelsea in 3rd.
