I know everyone was saying we needed a backup striker for Torres and Kuyt couldn't cut it, but right now I'm glad we have him.

Now get a hat trick at the bridge and ill, idk what i'll to do be honest, but i'll think of something.

All credit to Kuyt - I think that might have been his best overall performance for us on Saturday. He actually looked like a striker - somebody selfish and looking hungry for goals.

i was in the boozer the other day and they were all giving kuyt stick.

i said at half time he will score the winner when they were demanding he should come off

and again yesterday i said the same.

as much as i want to see keane and torres upfront id like to see kuyt stay up there because he get into 3 or 4 goal scoring chances each game, am sure there are the fans out there who say he is not good enough.

But i think he is class

the boy has ernt a new contract

does it matter thou ? Isnt the main thing getting the ball in the back of the net ! Who cares how it gets there as long as it does . A goal slammed in from 30 yards into top corner isnt any different to a goal of a players :censored: ? End of day its still just the one goal and dont care if kuyt scores ten goals or more off his nose as long as he scores or anyone scores for us . Kuyt yesterday gave the same sort of performance he has done over last 12 months yet this time he is getting goals to reward his hard work .

Didn't appear to be working as hard yesterday, yet looked a better player overall in my opinion... weird.

Hmm, I don't think it was weird, he is playing in his favorite position, which is as a striker. Basically using his strengths in that position got the best out of him. :)

I meant that the one thing everyone hails him for was not as evident yesterday - yet his overall performance was one of the best I've seen if not the best for us.

When it's been generally agreed that he's better as a right sided forward than up front, I think.

Thats why I disagreed with many that he shouldn't be playing on the right side, should always be a striker, he is a better player there and a good player he is.

I get you now.

I think most (myself included) have probably said that if he does play, he's best deployed wide right as part of the front 3 (or attacking midfield 3  behind Torres, depending on how you look at it).
