Because at the end of the day lets just face it the guy will always split opinion. It doesn't matter in the slightest how well or how badly he plays. His supporters will always defend him and those who've never liked him will continue to slag him off, even if he pops up with yet another important goal.

People just need to get used to it.

its nothing to do with disliking him, why do people always try and twist this, personally I do not dislike the guy, he just isnt good enough, this a fact mate, nothing to do with whether i like him or not.

he gives his all for the club and for that i respect him, however his all is not good enough, he needs to be a footballer as well as a runner

His all was good enough to score teh goal to win the game yesterday.

Well, in fairness, the ball simply fell to his feet and he booted into the top of the net...anyone could have knocked that in.

Actually, for a second I thought he was going to sky it over the bar again.

to be honest robinho, torres and kuyt managed to sky it over the bar from 4 yards out. thats over 60 million pounds worth of open goal missing talent, but at least our two made up for their errors.

havent said kuyt played a blinder - just once again giving him credit . unlike some who will never give credit . if you think kuyt was the worst player on the pitch then your stram or motd highlights must of been :censored:.

i dont watch a stream and i dont watch highlights thanks, i watch the whole game life on a large plasma tv with an uninterrupted view, i think the stream and highlights comments might be better served at yourself and others who rely on these to watch the game

as for workrate, are we suggesting that the rest of the players dont put in the effort kuyt does?

I  prefer to watch and judge from the stands myself .

And your opinion that he isnt good enough doesnt mean its fact -

facts are proving he is good enough and shows it on a macth day .

The guy is a prem footballers and justifies his place on that pitch .

He plays more ordinary games than good ones mate.

not going to disagree mate - yeah he is never going to be a star but while he still contributes he is worth his place in games where he is needed .

and peewee yes one goal in 28 league games - but ill concentrate on the present and not manipulate stats if he scores next league game will it be 2 in 29  then or will you just concentrate on this season . ? - i could say two goals in two games for us - but this season ie present day - he has three in all comps and couple of very important assists .

And what a fantastic goal it was. No player in world football could have produced a moment like that, the way he created the chance and finished it was a sign of a true top class player. The way he single handedly won us the game and got us into that position in the first place was true genius. He is now officially better than Gerrard and Torres because he produced such a moment of magic.

All hail Dirk Kuyt.

Its not like he just so happened to be on the end of a deflected shot and kicked the ball into an open goal that even Steven Hawkings couldn't have missed now is it? ???

No, it was much more than that.

do i really need to spell this out again, i do not dislike kuyt, i was made up he scored yesterday, i was made up we won. however i think he should not be a regular starter as his all round play (as seen again yesterday) was very poor.

pretending he is something he isnt will not make him into something we all want him to be

But he works hard.

did you go the game yesterday?

as for a premier league footballer, so is titus bramble mate, and so what is your point exactly?

yes i did .

And Kuyt is far better than bramble is and ever will be . Kuyt is also an international footballer is bramble ? you cant even compare the two .

Kuyt scores important goals for us - makes vital contributions to the team and has done ever since he joined us .

Those are the facts and they are their for all to see - some choose to see them and give credit when the lad deserves it while also realising he isnt the best player in the world some just slag him off constantly no matter what he does for the team.

No you didn't go to the game at all, you've never been in ya life lad. You're a billy bullshiter and that was proved when you was banging on about your "FA qualify 3 level" :censored: made up coaching badges you said you had.

Bramble has played international football at under 21 level for a bigger nation with more people and players and more professional level's of football. Bramble scored a massive equalizer at anfield last season which helped Wigan draw 1-1 against the fourth best side in the country. He also helps Wigan keep clean sheets occassionally.

So, run along! :D

i think that is something peewee is trying to say!

kuyts regular starts for the team does baffle me at times, but i do think kuyt is better than pennant tho. Perhaps we should buy aaron lennon and stick him where kuyt plays - a better option me thinks

I did.

And whilst I was delighted that he scored the winner (again) and deserves all credit for getting into that position for the ball when it broke in the box, I can say categorically that he was terrible for about 88 minutes of the match.

Not the only one - I thought Mascherano was really poor all game, Riera was good in attack but didn't give Aurelio much support against SWP hence where our two goals conceded came from, Torres didn't get much and Gerrard was absent for most of the first half.

But this is his thread so I'll talk about him. It was a prime example of the things people have identified about him - missed a sitter, slowed / stopped our attacks, sloppy first touch and passing, no guile or ability to create or beat a man.

I can see there is a time and a place for the guy and my opinion on him has softened slightly in recent weeks after his goalscoring exploits, but he really was awful yesterday.

How come Kuyt plays badly in the games I dont see and makes a massive contribution in the games I do? ???

He dominates his sector causing the opposition to change their strategy, he creates opportunities for the Reds and he scores goals. If that is the definition of cr@p then its certainly changed since I were a lad.

Another key goal from Kuyt, well done lad.

The goal saving tackle and then immediate pass to Kompany in yesterdays game typifies Dork Kuyt for me.

One moment cheering on the lad, the very next cursing his soul.
