this is the attitude that will see us off mate, it might not be at that point yet but it may come soon and we all have to do our bit.

as I said he has won...

He only understands one thing... Money..  hey, but if your happy to keep giving it to him??

I'm not happy giving it to him, but it doesn't make a difference if it's me or some chinese fella who's come over for a one off game does it? He's still going to be picking up the money. Plus the chinese fella because he doesn't get to Anfield often will be buying 5 programmes for his wife and kids, replica shirts, key rings, this that and the other. So in fact Hicks would be picking up more and more money if genuine fans stop going to the match.

How many fans have season tickets John they cant be used by others its not about putting money in his pocket its about standing up as a fan and fighting against this :censored: for our club so what if the odd few foriegners bought tickets on a one off it would be the real fans making a stand that go week in week out mate im sick of this :censored: making us look like a tuppenchapney club

Yeah the way the handled the Rafa situation was nothing short of disgraceful yet for me there is NO evidence whatsoever that DIC will be in anyway more reliable, more committed or more honest that Gillett and Hicks. For all we know DIC may be more cut-throat in a business sense than G&H, I haven't heard any statement of their intentions if they were to buy the club?

The short of the matter is that you rarely get owners who are as passionate for the club as the fans are, they are born and bred money makers. Selfish as it may seem can you honestly say Moores sold for the good of the club or did he do it due to a temptation to "cash in"?

I personally can't attribute another failed season to G&H, the writing was on the wall way before they arrived. Rafa's tactics have not changed much in the last two seasons. His rotation policy is still here, the only reason he stopped rotating Torres was due to fans pressure FFS!

Hicks is here to stay whether we like it or not, that much is clear form the press releases and stories in the news. Boycotting the match is pathetic and will only serve to impact negatively on the team. All the fans, especially the Kop, seem to sing about these days is the "Get the Yanks" out sh!te. At our best we were singing about team and how good we were week in week out.

Our infamous 12th man is disappearing!

:(

Totally disagree there mate, the fans are the lifeblood of the club . THe reason they a calling for g+h to go ,is that they can see where the club is heading , down the swanny mate.

£30 MILLION of interest payments to find every year , the debt is on the club , we cannot afford that debt . THey haven't spent a penny of there own money , it's all borrowed ,and it's the 12th man that's going to pay the price.

To say the club is heading "down the swanny" is nothing short of knee-jerk. Liverpool FC have seen darker times than this. Need I mention the Souness era and finishing 8th?!!

As hard as it may be we have to avoid making emotionally led opinions and decisions. Putting aside your opinion on Hicks can you honestly say his motive is to sink the club? You talk of the debt that is borrowed against the club. But that is how the world of money works, you borrow money against your assets - it is effectively a mortgage!

No one at all would of been moaning if it wasn't for the Rafa saga over Xmas. We were all chuffed to bits that finally we had money to compete in the league with. If the Rafa saga hadn't of happened, would this vitriol exist towards the Americans? I doubt it!

At the end of the day it is financially wrong to suggest a club like Liverpool with numerous assets (Players, Stadium, "the brand") are going to fold based on valid investment. Not all Millionaires are Roman Ambramovich! You only have to look at the what American investment based on similar financial commitments are achieving successfully at Manchester United.

Your opinion is your own and although I may not support it I do respect it.

Previous to G&H takeover the Club was finding it hard to spend £25m net over a summer, in fact Moores had to buy Kuyt with his own money. Now so far we have bought our players with money that has been borrowed, so with an interest payment of £30m a year at present, where on Earth do you think the Club is going? where do you think the extra income is going to come from? A new stadium will mean another £300m to be borrowed, (who'd lend it?), and therefore another £26m in interest a year to be found while its built and for years to come. The sums do not add up and something will have to give. Don't compare us to Manu, they already had a stadium with a massive capacity, and therfore turnover.

Hicks is :censored: of the highest order, just as things pick up on the pitch, and the papers have quietened down, he gives them another 'KOP IN TURMOIL' headline before such an important game. B astard.

Mate, I don't want to do it either, but it is what we will have to do.  I just don't buy into the "tourist" scenario.

For one, how is your little chinese mate going to walk past 35,000 fans outside the ground??   :D
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

this is the attitude that will see us off mate, it might not be at that point yet but it may come soon and we all have to do our bit.

I'll do my bit, but by standing outside IMO isn't going to help. Alls it means is Anfield gets filled by people who don't love the club and Hicks sits there pretty without the grief from the fans.

Whether we're in or outside the ground on match days the truth is Hicks will still be the owner of this club for the foreseeable future. This club is massive around the world, but only 35% of fans are actually affected by what goes on in the club. Anybody who can see Hicks is ruining the club along with that other clown of a yank, is in that 35% bracket. The other 65% will see an opportunity to go and see Liverpool live at Anfield, jump on it and sit and watch the lads play without any desire if we win, lose or draw. So the attendance figures and prices won't drop to any position to where Hicks has to think "OK I'll go now"

Also I think by boycotting the ground, will only turn into a farcse, because how long do you stand outside for? A couple of games, months or even until the end of the decade yet still persist with reknewing your season ticket. Hicks will be the owner of this club until DIC offer him 800 million or more to :censored: off or the fella keels over and pops his cloggs. He won't walk away and if the fans decide to walk away from their seats at Anfield, it'll dawn on the players that the fans have let the players down.

It'll give everyone the opportunity to ask "where's the most loyal football fans now?" Every other club and :censored: laughing at us even more. I just don't see by standing outside, how it's going to hurt Hicks. It's more likely to hurt the players and performances drop even further.

4) If Torres has scored 60 league goals for Liverpool by the start of the 2011/12 season, I'll say he's better than Owen.

I did feel the anger towards Moores originally was a bit unfair but now when you think about his nice £80m profit he has to snuggle up with at night and Coco has his nice shiny new Ferrari to comfort him you realise how much they've fucked the club over.
The following quote really does make me wonder if Parry is some sort of Hicks trained bullshit artist:
“Be assured the only thing David Moores is concerned about is the club being in the right hands for the future. You can be certain he has done his homework carefully and will make a decision in the best interests of the club. The fans have trusted David to do the right thing in the past and can be sure that’s what he’s doing now. If they thought the Dubai bid was good, rest assured he is now considering a different course for the right reasons.”

I'll let you all stew on that one for a bit!!

Rushie lad dont even get me started on them two pair of b.astards how they show there face at games is beyond me but there time will come lad there time will come that im sure about

I said it before, Moores is ultimately to blame for all of this, and i couldn't care less if he didn't do this intentionally, his business acumnen has always been pathetic where our mighty Club was concerned. He sold the Club without having checked anything about G&H, without putting any conditions in the sale that could have stipulated the amount of debt etc. I'll tell you how stupid and incompetent both Parry and Moores are, they sold the Club to two prats for around £250m when DIC would have paid nearer the £400m they are offering G&H now, the idiots couldn't even look after their own interests properly, let alone ours.

Reds future up in the air
10/03/2008 - 20:04:55

Liverpool’s co-owner Tom Hicks on Monday night threw the future of the club back into turmoil by terminating discussions with the Dubai royal family.

In a shock move, the Texan business tycoon broke off talks with Dubai International Capital (DIC), who had been confident of sewing up a deal to buy out 49% of co-owner George Gillett’s 50% stake.

Hicks had to give the go-ahead for that move – but instead he has exercised his right of veto, saying he was unwilling to manage the club with DIC “by committee”.

DIC said they had no comment to make, but sources close to the deal believe Hicks’ statement does not necessarily mean the end of the story and the investment arm of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the ruler of Dubai, could yet clinch a stake in the club.

Hicks’ statement read: “Based on a meeting held earlier today in Dubai between my representatives and officials of Dubai International Capital LLC, as well as other recent contacts between us and them, I have decided to terminate any further discussions with DIC regarding their possible purchase of a minority stake in Kop and, in turn, in the club.

“DIC made it clear that if they invested in the club, they would want it to be managed by committee.

“Based on my 13 years of successful experience as an owner of professional sports teams, and based in particular on the situation at Liverpool Football Club over the past year, it is clear to me that such a committee approach would not be in the best interest of Kop, of the club or of the club’s loyal and passionate supporters.

“Accordingly, I have decided to exercise my right under the Kop Football (Holdings) Limited partnership agreement to veto any sale of any portion of Kop and the club to DIC.”

Hicks added there were other alternatives to pursue.

He said: “I and my colleagues and representatives will continue to explore a number of other options with regard to the ownership of Kop and the club aimed at achieving an appropriate ownership, financial and organisational structure for Kop and the club over the long term.”

The only chance of a deal being rekindled is if Hicks’ statement is merely an attempt to force DIC and Gillett to accept his terms.

A DIC spokesman said only: “We have no comment to make.”

Either way, the relationship between the parties appears to have broken down - something that could be a problem if they were to be co-owners of the club in the future.

As far as Liverpool are concerned however, it is back to square one with Hicks and Gillett at loggerheads – even more so now the Texan has vetoed the sale - and there are only 17 months until the £350million loan the Americans took out in January has to be refinanced again.

Furthermore, another loan of around £300million will have to be taken out to finance the building of the new stadium at Stanley Park.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.
