Mourinho tops Kop list
Exclusive by some fuc.king liar

RAFA BENITEZ will be sacked following his latest tirade against Liverpool owner Tom Hicks.
And former Kop hate-figure Jose Mourinho is the shock front runner to replace him.

Liverpool's American owners were already preparing to ditch the Spanish boss (left) after tiring of the constant behind-the-scenes bickering but this week's developments have sealed his fate.

It's now a matter of when not if the Spanish boss leaves Anfield and that's expected to be sooner rather than later.

Despite his epic Anfield bust-ups while at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho tops a wanted list already being assembled by the owners.

An approach will be made once Benitez's departure is confirmed.

The Portuguese boss may have his enemies on Merseyside, but he's recognised as one of the best and most sought after coaches in Europe.

Benitez showed no sign of ducking a fight with his hierarchy following yesterday's 3-0 win over Newcastle, despite knowing his job was on the line.

"It's clear Mr Hicks wants the best for the club. So do I," he said.

"We have been here for a long time and we know what the passion of football means and what the transfer market in Europe means.

"It's not a draft system. We have free players available now. I'm not talking about players that cost money.

"We need to talk to the agents now, if not we will lose targets. In the summer, the players will be more expensive. I have not been talking about spending but doing the opposite. We have brought money back. We brought in £26m this year and you can see the value of the squad.

"We had a meeting on the day of the Arsenal game which was really positive. After this, something changed."

They told me to be focused on coaching and training because Rick Parry will be looking after signing players."

Swing

Benitez won't walk away, adding: "I have passion for this club. The fans who were with me in Istanbul know what it means to me."

With no resignation on the horizon, Hicks (left) and Gillett are now ready to swing their axe regardless of Liverpool's league placing or Champions League progress

That's just sent a shiver down my spine.  I'll be both gutted and livid if Rafa is sacked at this stage and the thought of Mourinho in charge just turns my stomach.  For once, I hope Bascombe is talking rubbish...

jesus, i just got out of bed early because for some reason i couldnt kip and click onto this rafa`s gonna get sacked article?
wtf!! ????
i hope this is some sort of joke.
i dont f@cking care who they`ve got lined up to manage the club, i dont want them here.
rafa deserves to be liverpool manager because he saved a sinking ship when its decks were loaded with overpriced french flops, there was no money to plug the leaks in the hull and the 2 genuine star players we had were taking a shine to the lifeboats!
what do hicks and gillett want? an avram grant style yes man who`ll doff his cap to the accountants?
if we let them get rid of rafa it will be the thin end of the wedge.

Meh, he's been the enemy before, but if Jose became LFC manager and brought us the Prem title, few would be complaining.

G & H can fuck right off as far as I am concerned if they sack him, there will be a lot of bad blood between them and the fans they wont dare come near Anfield otherwise they will be lynched.
Really suprised at Chris Bascombe writting this.

Groundshare anyone?  :Oo:

There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

if a player was to complain in the papers about rafas methods he would be dropped and drummed out of the club. rafa needs to take a leaf out of his own book, also again i will say the owners have said they will talk in december so i dont see what the problem is

The problem is he wants to wrap up deals now, which he cant do if he doesnt know if he has enough money, and if he finds we have a low budget he can start working out selling deals (like carson) now, rather than rushing the sale so he can buy the player he wants, making him lose out in the long term.

and if your boss fires you, its wont affect his business (much). If they sack rafa, there is nothing but problems (team in shock, new playing style to learn, finding a good replacement), look what happened at chelsea, players saying they would follow jose.

he doesnt know how much he will have to spend as he doesnt yet know if he will qualify for the champions league knockout stage, and thats down to football and not down to the owners, here the blame lies with rafa

The thing is pee, if someone came to you as your new boss and who has no experience in the job you do ,and then told you to shut up and do as your told , you i'm sure would have something to say. It's a ridiculouse situation the yanks are putting rafa in.

if i got a new boss who was as succsesful as these guys then i would listen. the fact is parry is in control of the finances and rafa should be speaking to him, if he whinges and acts the way he has done in public on this then what does he expect? like i have said many times in this thread he is not in a position to try and hold these guys to ransom, there are other managers, in fact one is free now, who knows how to win the PL and the yanks will have no qualms about bringing him in, so its not as though rafa is indispensible and its not as though there is no alternative

Surely Bascombe has been pushed to write that article?!

I doubt that if the Yanks had a plan, they would let anyone know.

so this blows the "the yanks are telling him how to manage the football side of things" argument clean out of the water

a small part of me wants him to go mate, its his stubborness that worries me, it was the same with houllier and that was his downfall, a large part of me wants him to stay and bring the league home but i am worried that he still doesnt realise what it takes to win the league here and his refusal to change his methods makes me think he will never bring it back.

i know many people when they argue this point say they want him to stay and justify their argument with "who would we replace him with", to me this is the wrong attitude, there are plenty of managers who could replace him and maybe bring success, and maybe they will flat on their faces. i don't have a crystal ball murph but i can see whats happening at the club now.

i think rafa is stupid taking the owners on in this way, there will only be one winner and possibly many losers, if he had delivered us a title and we were in a stronger position in the CL then i feel he could question them and they would be compelled to listen, these guys are no mugs in the business world and i am sure they are learning the football world, but whichever world they are dealing in such a display of pettulance by an employee is uncalled for and i am certain in any other industry he would be on his way out of the door now, its all well and good questioning the owners but to do it in such a public and immature fashion has not helped rafa one bit.

what comes first for me is LFC, not rafa benitez, not G + H, i want the club to get back to where it was, if thats without rafa then so be it, if its with rafa then so be it, but he needs to learn a few lessons in my opinion.

personally i feel he is looking for a way out of the club with his big pay off, i think he knows for him to win the league he will have to go back on his philosophy and lose face. he is trying to force the owners hand in my opinion and make them out to be the bad guys when they fire him while hoping people forget his discussions with real madrid and bayern munich.

just my opinion mate, it may be wide of the mark, it may not be wide of the mark. i get the impression the club is not a happy place, rafa has already put us in jeapordy for a silly reason with forcing pako out because he was pally with jose, and rafa has also put us in a strange position with his refusal to change a system that does not work.

in my opinion rafa thinks he is bigger than the club however many soundbites he gives about the club and the fans etc, thats all PR in my opinion

Peewee lol you funny fuc.ker.

Thats the biggest load of shi.te i have ver read in my life.  Rafa got rid of Pako casue he was Muuriinho's mate.  Fu.ck me lad was you the fly on the wall when they had this fall out.

To say Rafa is stubborn to the same point as Houlier is ludricous.  Houllier was that stubborn I dont think he ever sold one of his own signings.  Where as Rafa has got rid of a few now when hes realised that hes made a mistake and tere not good enough.

People like you to me arent fans.  What RAfa has acheived here for us deserves respect mate.  And you quite simply havent got one iota.  You want to get rid of a manager who has won us our 5th European cup, nearly a 6th european cup aswell.  An FA Cup, A super cup, not to mention getting us to another domistic cup final.  Also winning the most points we have evr managed to get during one full premiership season.

Your not a fan.  I dont care what you say mate.

As for Gillet and Hicks there fu.cking gob s h ites.  I cant wait till wednesday cause if that Gillet fellas son is  at the front of the kop like he has been for a few games now.  Ill fu.cking let him know what the REAL supporters think of this sham.
