It's easy to blame the manager, but he only picks the team, he doesn't play on the pitch. Every player that played today is at fault, they shouldn't go unnoticed.

We criticised the likes of calamity james and dudek for this sort of thing but for some reason reina seems to be above any criticism here.. He needs to sort himself out quick, we cant have them sort of mistakes being made every match! Carra was well out of it today too. And our finishing was awful

i think its tougher on keepers the last few years, with much more televised football u see every mistake over and over and keepers do inevitably make mistakes, for example if Bruce Grobbelaar was playing now hed get slaughtered by the media, and brucie was a class keeper and was adept to the odd mistake.... its all confidence and and if the media get to you like they did with David James, ur mistakes are further highlighted which makes it worse again....I think the key to it is consistency and the way Liverpool have defended so far this season youd have to have sympathy for Reina.......what he needs is a few clean sheets in a row and he will be ok...and for clean sheets to happen u need the whole team to be defending well...

For the first time in my life I agree with you.
We where a disgrace, no excuses, a total shambles.

It's a horrible result, but we have to get over it and move on. A really bad day at the office, with too many players simply not with it.

Now we have to respond. Again it's a lacklustre start to a season, but we need to put it to bed quickly. 4 points from 9 against Sheffield Utd, West Ham and Everton isn't good enough if we're thinking of winning the league, and now the Chelsea game a week tomorrow takes on a whole other level of significance. I think anything less than a win leaves our title hopes in real trouble, even this early in the season.

I just hope we see a massive response against PSV this week. This result really should have wounded our players, and it's how they bounce back to it that we'll be able to judge how good this side really can be.

yes we were not at our best but still played well at times..it seems to many want to criticise so early on in the season..reina looks poor at the moment and alonso is shocking..aurelio looks like a unlikely left back and hyypia seems uncomfortable playing along side him..still onwards and upwards for the season ahead..
