this is the worst the toffes have played under Moyes by a distance so lets hope all the milestones get broke, Gerrard gets his hundred and keane and Riera both find the net in a convincing 4-0 romp, forcing Moyes eyes to stretch so far out of his head they finally fall out, to be replaced with 2 glass ones that simply read GERRARD  100 :)

I think all would agree that form goes out the window where a derby is concerned. Wouldn't be surprised if the Toffees put it up to us for this game and put the recent :censored: form behind them..

Drop kuyt this game, play either pennant or gerrard on the right.

but my preferred formation would be

                   Reina
Arby      Carra        Skrtel    Dosenna

Gerrard   Alonso      Masch   Riera

             Torres      Keane.

comon you red men, 3-1!!! :buttrock

I'd go for that, need better delivery into the area from the right!

I would probably go with that team Metalhead IF Aurelio is not fit. I must admit I still have huge doubts about Dossena. Against Marseille he looked decidedly shaky when defending, and with Riera in front of him ......while they are probably ok going forward, they look very weak as a defensive pair on the left.

Bizarrely I would definately play Dirk Kuyt in this game, on the right. There is generally not an ounce of football played, zero flowing football, next to no fluent passing and the winning goal is almost always a scrappy affair where the final touch could come off any part of the scorers anatomy.

I cannot think of a football match which is better suited to our industrious Dutchman.

in theory yes, but we all know that form goes down the cr@pper for these matches. its a free for all. they could beat us 3-0, we could beat them 1-0.

on paper, we've a strong enough team to knock 7 past them - but we wont.

lookin forwards to this game. I will be happy with any kind of win but the more connvincingly the better.
i say 2-1 to the red men. Gerrard with his 100th goal and Kean to break his duck.:D

for those of you who havent seen the goals against crew, just found this on youtube.

Edited. Hadn't seen, that Ciggy had already posted Mike Riley as the ref in the opening thread!

Really looking forward to this game though, as they are usually very intense, and there is nothing better than winning at Woodison (except perhaps winning at Old Trafford). I just hope Riley doesn't get to play an important role in the outcome of the match (unless it goes our way of course like last year with the delightful Mr. Clattenburg  :D ).

spot on, you alll know im a pro-kuytist (i made a word! :D ) but this is DEFINATELY a game where you take the preverbial "hud carriers" over the fancy dans. It wont be pretty (see Jolean Lescott). It wont be intelligent (see Phil Neville) but it will be frantic, and played at about the same pace as an upside down Richard Hammond

The earlier title was class , Liverpool vs the mongrels . I'd go masch and alonso in the middle and play hypia in this game as everton have very good headers of the ball , Cahill , fellaini , lescott . Reverting back to the 4-5-1 position which torres excels in , on paper we should beat them but for derby the form books goes out the window , going to go for a 2-0 win with a torres double .

Reina

Carragher        Hypia         Skrtel          Aurelio

                     Masch        Xabi
Kuyt/Pennant                                    Riera

                               Gerrard

                               Torres .
