Now that we have some insight into the pronounciation of Kuyt ("Kowt") we can start developing some songs for the lad.  Tears For Fears' "Shout" seems an obvious choice.  Here's my stab at the first verse, feel free to add or amend as the mood strikes...

Kuyt, Kuyt make us all shout
He'll score the goals we've been doin' without
Look out, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man U, look out!...

Dirk's father has cancer:

Dirk Kuyt's emotional moment of triumph ensured there wasn't a dry eye in the house last weekend.
Liverpool's 15million signing had returned to his homeland to collect the award as Holland's Player of the Year for last season- and the organisers had a surprise for Kuyt.

Kuyt's father, Gerrit, is battling cancer and was due to undergo an operation but stunned his son by his entrance, Dirk explained: "Dad is very ill and I don't know how long he can cope like this.

"I was so thrilled when he presented me with the Golden Boot. Normally they bring on a football legend to do the presentation. They had kept it a secret that my dad was doing it."

The Kuyt's hugged each other and during the speeches both men started to weep.

That started off more than 400 professional players and their wives off in the hall who could not hold back their tears either.

I know it was only highlights but Kuyt looked a different player to the one in the world cup. He looked good, disallowed goal, overhead kick and a couple of good crosses. His goal was a close range headed flick from a Van Persie free kick - Van Persie looked good too.

Here's a good compilation of some Feyenoord goals he scored as well..Get in!  Super Kuyt

They are about halfway down. Also go to the bottom and check out the last one, Beasley from Man City, relieving himself during a game!
