Southampton V Liverpool - League Cup - 2/12/15

Bogdan - 8 - Not a lot to do really but looked OK when called upon
Randall - 7 - thought he was off at one point but he knuckled down to a decent game
Skrtel - 8 - solid defending all game
Lovren - 8 - Jury still out for me but much improved on recent games.
Moreno - 7 - Fast, clever but defensive duties are lacking
Can - 9 - his chop inside and pass with outside of his boot for Sturridge goal was Beckham-esq
Lucas - 7 -  decent game
Allen - 8 - powerful and full of energy. Great game
Lallana - 8 - another great performance
Origi - 8 - I'm still not sure about him but for this game he was top drawer
Sturridge - 9 - he is class. Absolutely outstanding

Subs
Smith - 8 - Not seen him play before, looked ok then he put that cross in... wow!
Henderson - 6 - he was waiting to come on when Origi scored and he celebrated with Klopp like he'd scored it. Mr Liverpool mk2
Ibe - 7 - took his goal really well

Klopp - 10 - The man is simply class. I can imagine a few chairman of the big clubs are ***** off they haven't got him.

Bogdan - 7 - Not at fault for goal and provided stable cover. Didn't have too much to do.
Randall - 7 - harsh to receive a yellow so early on but remained composed throughout.
Skrtel - 8 - Rock
Lovren - 8 - Has improved rapidly under Klopp and appears more competent in the back line.
Moreno - 8 - Poor positioning for conceded goal but played with great consistency, unlucky to be discredited a goal given to Origi. Good assist for Ibe
Can - 8 - Amazing assist with outside of right foot for Sturridge 2nd.
Lucas - 8 -  Heat map suggests he covered the entire field.
Allen - 8 - Impressive display and great long ball assist for Sturridge equaliser
Lallana - 8 - One of his finest performances to date
Origi - 8.5 - Would have given him a 9 if not for the goal-snatch from Moreno
Sturridge - 8.5 - Well taken brace contributed by intelligent midfield play.

Subs
Smith - 7 - Provided a top assist for Origi hattrick
Henderson - 6 - Too premature to have made any impact last night
Ibe - 8 - Developing into an immense player. fine goal.

BOGDAN - 7 despite being a back-up keeper and conceding early he still exuded confidence in his general play which was good to see, he could have easily got the jitters and started flapping at crosses, shanking clearances etc but he held it together well.
RANDALL - 6 really shaky early on especially in one on one situations but to be fair to the lad he rallied second half, when he did regain his confidence and stopped passing the ball sideways and backwards his distribution was surprisingly good
SKRTEL - 7 did well against 2 tricky opponents in Mane and Pelle
LOVREN - 8 thought he was magnificent, especially against Pelle in the air
MORENO - 7 still liable to have one or two dodgy moments but to be fair to him he just brushes them off these days, really starting to impose himself on the team and he's becoming an important player for us now
LUCAS - 7 he's been superb all season, everything revolves around him
ALLEN - 8 second fine performance in a row, has to start against Newcastle imo
CAN - 8 started really poorly but finished the game looking like the next Ballack/Matthaus
LALLANA - 7 played well in difficult circumstances
ORIGI - 8 big, strong, quick, skillfull......oh and a hat trick
STURRIDGE - 8 I agree with Redknapp, when fit there's only Aguero who's better, when Daniel is through on goal you just never expect him to miss.

Bogdan - 7 - Not much to do...Looks stable and confident
Randall - 6 - Had a hard time containing Tadic
Skrtel - 8 - Good game against a strong physical attackers
Lovren - 8 - Good game against a strong physical attackers
Moreno - 6 - If it wasn't for the "Goal" + Setup to Ibe would have gotten a 5. Was at fault for the goal and pretty wastefull most of the game.
Can - 6 - Same as Moreno ,2-3 great moments which don't cover a pretty wasteful performance ,should be as far as he can from OUR goal.
Lucas - 8 -  Very good game ,very responsible.
Allen - 8 - Excellent game ,i can't remember him losing the ball even once ,should be utilized further up the pitch.
Lallana - 7 - He is going everything good but doesn't get the reward of scoring...
Origi - 8 - Great game ,works very good on the flanks and had 2 clean finishes
Sturridge - 8 - He is a striker!

Looked to me as if the goalie would have stopped it if not for the touch.

Looked to me as if the goalie would have stopped it if not for the touch.

Just saw the reply again - Judging from Moreno's certainty in his unaccredited "goal" celebration there's no indication that keeper would have stopped that.

Newcastle V Liverpool - EPL - Sunday 6th December

Mignolet - 7 - not his fault, did ok
Clyne - 7 - had a decent game
Skrtel - 6 - own goal ?
Lovren - 6 - did ok
Moreno - 8 - thought he played well and had a perfectly good goal disallowed
Allen - 6 - looked tired
Lucas - 5 - had one of those 'old' Lucas games today
Milner - 6 - slightly better than Lucas
Ibe - 7 - did well but no end product
Firmino - 4 - was really poor
Benteke - 5 - not very mobile

Subs...

Lallana - 7 - looked much better when he came on
Sturridge - 7 - same as Lallana, although i felt had he just checked back and taken that chance on his left foot would have scored
Origi - 6 - not much to say really

MINGOLET - 5 no chance with the first, bit slow off his line for the second I thought
CLYNE - 6 a couple of powerful runs but careless with the ball (he wasn't the only one)
SKRTEL - 5 bit unlucky with the goal but saying that I thought we looked a bit flaky at the back right throughout the game, there were a couple of scrambles and quite a few scuffed/shanked clearances etc. Not convincing at all.
LOVREN - 6
MORENO - 5 unlucky to have a perfectly good goal disallowed but struggled to cope with the size and power of Sissoko
LUCAS - 4 his worst performance in months - caught dawdling on the ball, distribution was awful, always seemed to be on the verge of slipping over etc. Midfield let us down badly today.
ALLEN - 6 not great but probably the best of our CM's (not a very high bar I have to say)
MILNER - 4 lacks pace and skill
FIRMINO - 4 looks lost without Coutinho
IBE - 7 probably the one positive of the day
BENTEKE - 4 shocking miss from 3 yards out, not sure he is suited to heavy metal football, could be Andy Carroll mark II i.e a square peg in a round hole.

MINGOLET - 5 His aimless long kicking squandering possession and giving the ball to the opposition is starting to grate a tad. 
CLYNE - 6 A few good surges forward ,but no real plan when he reached the oppositions box. 
SKRTEL - 5 The worst of our defenders dallying on the ball and slow to react.
LOVREN -7  Lovren was the pick of our defence earlier ,made some good clean  tackles, and passed us out of danger a few times.   
MORENO - 5 Great goal ,but looked decidedly uninterested in defending with his recent conviction. 
LUCAS - 3 When Lucas is playing this bad we have no fucking chance of gaining any kind of control, and today he was bad.   
ALLEN - 4 When an opposing  player attacks he has this infuriating knack of letting the ball get as far away  as is possible before attempting a tackle. 
MILNER - 4 Workmanlike Journeyman ,but that backpack is getting heavier with every game.
FIRMINO - 4 No Lallana ,no Coutinho ,and Sturridge on the bench ,he needs to twin with someone who has guile not a fucking girdle 
IBE - 6 For a player with this kind of pace and direct running and ability to beat everyone in his path his final ball is woeful.
BENTEKE - 2 I seen a fella on telly once whose testicles were that big he had to use a wheelbarrow to move around ,Benteke is slower !

Mignolet -5 - not much to do
Clyne - 4 - unconvincing and lost the goalscorer for the 2nd
Skrtel - 5 - Did ok
Lovren - 4 - always a worry
Moreno -5 - played a bit better but makes some puzzling decisions
Allen - 6 - tried hard but too weak
Lucas - 2 - the new Lucas went awol leaving the old one to have a nightmare
Milner -3- runs a lot
Ibe - 5 - needs to use his brain more
Firmino - 3 - misses Coutinho
Benteke - 4 - looked lost and confused

Subs...
Lallana - 5 - needs to stop trying to take on the world before he shoots or passes
Sturridge - 5 - Didnt look happy with being sub? Came on too late to have any effect
Origi - 4 - never given a chance

Firmino - 3.5 (very poor - expect more from him when Coutinho is fit, but missing one player is no excuse to play so poorly)
Benteke - 4 (poor - 3 yard miss said it all)

Substitutes

Sturridge - 6.5 (showed signs of great positioning but should have scored the equaliser)
Origi - 6.5 (half an hour not much to make a lasting impact - but should good positioning and pace)
Lallana - 6 (half an hour not much to make a lasting impact)

Mignolet - 6 - not at fault for the goals but does he inspire confidence? No.
Clyne - 7 - probably one of the better performers
Skrtel - 5 - Probably gets 6 but because of the own goal.
Lovren - 6 - he did alright
Moreno - 7 - same as Clyne, one of the better performers, but his deliveries were tentative. Most of the time he seems to be telling the forwards/ attackers where they should be with his passes to nobody.
Allen - 5 - No imagination at all and easily bullied off the ball.
Lucas - 6 - thought he performed better than other midfielders
Milner - 5 - Same as Allen, no creativity. Seems to be slowing down too.
Ibe - 6 - Did well but just keeps running and running without much end product
Firmino - 3 - worse than poor. Doesn't even deserve a 4.
Benteke - 5 - I have seen two games where he's not being utilized well. makes you wonder whether he is suitable for the klopp style. Off the ball movement was poor.

SUBS

Lallana - 6 - Did ok and looked lively but couldn't inspire a comeback
Sturridge - 6 - ditto
Origi - 6 - ditto
