Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby ycsatbjywtbiastkamb » Sun Dec 20, 2015 9:28 pm

BOGDAN - 4 first goal was a foul but he shouldn't have dropped the ball in the first place, after that he just looked nervous as hell
CLYNE - 4 he was poor today
SKRTEL - 3 his worst game since that Southampton match when he nearly left the club.
SAKHO - 4 he had a shocker too, I think he tried to take the game by the scruff of the neck and ended up trying to do too much, as bad as he played he was one of the few that actually looked @rsed.
MORENO - 5 he was poor as well but showed a bit of grit and fight
LUCAS - 4 not quite as bad as the Newcastle performance but not far off it
CAN - 4 dawdled on the ball and kept getting it taken off him but did roll his sleeves up and fight
HENDERSON - 6 some nice long balls and genuinely looked upset by what was happening, not sure if he has enough quality to build a team around though
FIRMINO - 2 looked like he didn't want to be out there
LALLANA - 3 done well in recent weeks but reverted back to the lightweight he was last season
COUTINHO - 4 poor game

Liverpool vs. Leicester

Mignolet - 7.5 - had a few top saves but he's becoming a target for the opposition when they take set-pieces
Clyne - 7 - both our fullbacks were good today, in both defence and attack
Lovren - 8 - didn't think I'd ever say this for Lovren but I thought he was MOTM. Great game for the lad
Sakho - 6.5 - thought he was a bit dodgy today, had a few Traore moments that could have cost us, but still did his job and kept a clean sheet
Moreno - 7 - see Clyne
Can - 6.5 - strong and energetic display, good movement off the ball as well. Doesn't make things happen when he has the ball though, sometimes takes too much time to do something and his decision making is often poor.
Henderson - 7 - a Klopp player for sure, always active and pressing hard, can pick a pass as well. But he always manages to bottle it in key situations
Lallana - 6 - also presses hard and is active but pretty much useless when he has the ball. Tries to be a trickster too much
Coutinho - 7.5 - everything that developed for us went through him.
Firmino - 6 - mostly useless tbh but a good assist for Benteke
Origi - 6.5 - looked good, a shame he had to come off injured

Subs:
Benteke - 7 - scored a goal, job done
Lucas - N/A
Allen - N/A

MINGOLET - 7 did okay but you only have to look at him surrounded by opposition players at corners to see that they think he's an accident waiting to happen.
CLYNE - 8 his best performance in a while, his recovery pace helped combat Leicester's much vaunted counter attack
LOVREN - 8 solid again, got some character this fella to bounce back from being public enemy number 1
SAKHO - 7 one or two iffy moments but getting back to his best
MORENO - 8 like Clyne his recovery pace came in very handy today
HENDERSON - 8 ran hard and dare I say it gave a captains performance
CAN - 7 good whole hearted performance, him and Hendo may not be Mascherano and Alonso but they have got big hearts and look like they care which is not always a given these days
LALLANA - 7 worked hard and played well
COUTINHO - 8 much more like his old self
FIRMINO - 6 forgot he was on the pitch at one point, was going to give him a 5 but at the end of the day he was part of a team that comfortably beat the league leaders (I thought the 1-0 scoreline flattered Leicester)
ORIGI - 7 thought he looked very sharp before he went off, chased down balls into the channels like a terrier and unsettled Morgan with his pace and strength.

Mignolet - 7  looks great when stopping shots, looks very insecure as soon as a cross comes into the box
Clyne -  6.5  did well enough defensivly, limited offensivly
Lovren - 8  was very good
Sakho - 6 Has not been that good since he came back
Moreno - 6 did well enough, always a liability at the back
Can - 6  lots of energy, heart and confidence but his decision-making leaves a lot to be desired
Henderson - 8 good runner, good presser, good passer. Too bad his end product is poor. Still the best midfielder we got
Lallana - 6 is mobile, good passer and technique, but too lightweight, no end product and makes stupid decisions sometimes
Coutinho - 7 did well enough, but wasn't that decisive in the game
Firmino - 5 man, he needs to toughen up and get stuck in. He's got a nice skill-set as shown by his assist, but he won't get to show it very often if he doesn't adapt
Origi - 6 did ok the time he was on

Subs:
Benteke - 6 he scored the goal, so he gets a 6, but so wasteful...
Lucas - n/a
Allen - n/A

Cheers dj  :bowdown

SUNDERLAND V LIVERPOOL

MINGOLET - 7 made a couple of decent saves and kept a clean sheet but once again looked a bit iffy under the high ball
CLYNE - 6 did okay
SAKHO - 8 thought him and Lovren were superb
LOVREN - 8 fine game, him and Sakho stood up well to the physical battle
MORENO - 6 did okay
CAN - 6 bit sloppy in possession early on but did okay
HENDO - 7 worked hard
LALLANA - 5 not really his type of game, looked a bit lightweight
FIRMINO - 5 one or two flashes of brilliance but generally quiet
COUTINHO - 5 similar to Firmino in the sense that he produced one or two moments of magic but also gave the ball away cheaply at times too
BENTEKE - 7 scored another winner but missed another sitter, still not quite convinced yet that he's the answer long term

Mignolet - 6 - still looks shaky, i always fear for us when a corner comes into the box
Clyne - 7 - solid performance from a solid performer
Sakho - 6.5  - good defensive performance, had a couple of moments though
Lovren - 8.5 - think we may have a player on our hands after all, stringing some impressive performances together now
Moreno 7 - same as Clyne
Can - 6.5 - not quite sure what to make of him, he is certainly a hot head, at times tries to over play, certainly a decent player in there
Henderson - 7 - was having a really good game until injury, really hope it's something that can be managed, we need him
Lallana - 5 - went missing for long periods, lucky touch to put Benteke through for the goal
Coutinho - 5.5 - wonder if his new baby has distracted him from his performances, he needs to step it up on the pitch where it matters
Firmino - 6 - mixed bag, funny thing is had those 2 efforts gone in i would probably be raving about him and scoring him an 8
Benteke - 7 - got the all important goal (AGAIN), goals win games, but that said he has ***** up two 1 on 1 opportunities in consecutive games now, it's a little worrying when he has too much time to think about things

Subs....

Toure - N/A
Lucas - 5 - he is not Hendo
Ibe - 6 - looked bright and sharp, should start against west ham instead of Lallana

JK - 7.5 - got his tactics spot on, same as he did against Leicester, we are winning dirty now, which is very important, JK is learning and adapting already, i think it will take 2 perhaps 3 years but he will have us back where we belong

Mignolet - 5 nothing he could do with both goals.

Clyne - 5 looks half the player he was at Southampton.

Lovren - 6 one of the better players.

Sakho - 6 tried

Moreno - 6 I thought he was doing ok before being subbed.

Lucas - 4 slow in possession and got bullied in the middle.

Can - 4 gave the ball away way too much.

Coutinho - 3 he was rubbish today but had nobody to play off.

Ibe - 4 I keep saying he's better than Sterling .. but I'm kidding myself.

Firmino - 2 I'm losing patience with his lack of effort.. terrible again.

Benteke - 1 absolutely useless
