i think the days of managers signing players at this club are long gone mate.

Get Cole and Aquilani plus Lucas back and go with what weve got :nod

we`ll sign players but the days of the manager having total control over who comes in or out are gone mate, it`ll be a group decision these days with probably the player recruitment DoF having the biggest say. the manager will have an input but it will be nothing like the control shankly or paisley had.

so the club will still sign players then?
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Fair play to the Swansea chairman for his comments and the gracious and dignified way that he has handled this matter. No more to be said about another premier league chairman with regard to this matter.

the cabal will sign them which in a way is better for the manager, rodgers wont be carrying the can for any poor signings in the way dalglish did when he got blamed for blowing £110m

Its no myth that only five other teams in Europe were more accomplished in retaining the ball than Swansea .

Ha! Spurs have a better pass completion rate than the Gooners. Another Arsene Wenger myth busted.

Did anyone else see earlier Claire Rourke was presenting the mini sports bulletin from Salford on BBC News 24? Has she left LFCTV for the BBC or is she going to be doing both roles in the future does anyone know?

Swansea retained possession by largely passing back into their own half. Don't be fooled by those stats. There is NO room for Carroll with Brendan's style of football. Swansea have suffered a similar fate as KK's liverpool, they didn't have a plan B and in the 2nd half of the season were blown away on a number of ocassions by average teams.

However, in the interests of remaining positive and giving our new manager some belief and confidence, I am looking forward to the summer transfer window and hopeful that the Club hierachy can support an attractive form of football with players who are technically gifted and are physically capable of blending into a premiership side.

Welcome to LFC, Mr. Rogers !
