Is Steve Clarke still the number 2?

Rodgers does seem to talk the talk. Let's hope he can walk the walk. I hope he brings a lot of success. Certainly a better choice than Martinez. Not the most exciting choice, but if this is definate, let's be glad we can start moving forwards.

she was very unhappy that the club treated him the way he did, she removed a few posts from twitter after saying a few things that were a bit close to the mark.

Can say he would have been top of my list or even top 3 for that matter but if he is the new manager then he deserves to be backed to the hilt. FSG need to follow this with strong backing in the transfer market.

Cant say that i'm excited by this but at least we got a manager in a reasonable amount of time.

Guess his first job is to really convince Daniel Agger and Skrtel to stay put at Liverpool.

If we keep the defense, and add actual quality to our midfield, we should be strong enough to at least knock of the doors of top 4 again.

He is talking about me in regards the Joe Cole thread - what he fails to mention is the abuse he and others gave me because i dared suggest Cole was going to a poor signing.

And its "Internet fans" like Tampaxvobiscum that will be the first to start to demand Rodgers is gone within the year. The type of fans the club have unfortunately gathered in recent times. Hopefully one day they will go back to supporting whoever it was before Liverpool.

Personally I think this is a disaster. Martinez started the project at Swansea and then moved onto Wigan. Rodgers left Watford to go to Reading where they changed to a long ball team who were unimpressive to watch and dropped down the championship. He then left to go to Swansea where he picked up where Martinez had got them promoted and just lost in the play-offs. Rodgers had success the following year but with the team that Martinez had built.

I really can't see what Rogers has done to deserve to be our manager.

Really depressed.

presume so, it was clarke who recommended rodgers to mourinho as a young reserves coach at chelsea

can't say i'm overly excited about his appointment, but he's now a red so lets give him full 100% support and stop talking all this pro/anti rafa stuff. rodgers is our new manager so lets not get on the fella's back before he's even turned the lights on
