id expect signings like newcastle of last season, youngish talented and hungry to make the next level

no i just fed up with everyone asking for him to come back.

in truth if we had got turned down by the top two in the running for the job i think i would have given rafa a knock and asked him to come back myself.

i hope we can all back our new manager and see what he can bring the club, i dont think he will win stuff in the first year and i can see us not getting in the top 3 but 4th or 5th might be the place for us.

if juventus or any other biggish team in the champs league come knocking can rodgers keep luis saurez at liverpool?

me n all. I can understand the Hodgson stuff given how Rafa went, H & G, general performance, signings etc etc but to give Rodgers stick before he's here is mental. As is crying out for the return of Rafa. He's in the past now, we can debate to high heavens whether he deserves another crack but imo we need a fresh approach. I would have supported Rafa as much as I support Kenny or Rodgers or Ged. Setting up that site for Rafa back was just embaraassing and cringeworthy

Agreed. It's just like some hypocrite who was so happy to see Joe Cole's Liverpool career fail that he couldn't resist posting "I told you so" on the JC thread last season.

Maxi, if I have my reservations about anyone who signs to play for this club I'd 100% rather be proved wrong and have egg on my face while I munch the humble pie than be right and have a brag. I absolutely love this club and the fans were a big part in getting my attention but they ain't helping themselves here

where's this perception come from?

Last summer and January we had a good market with a decent amount of spending - are you basing this on one January where the owners were probably a little disal;usioned with how our season was going under kenny?

Sigurdsson hasn't signed for Swansea yet, a fee was agreed tho iirc
