I dont have faith that Agger will come in to the side.  Hodgson clearly favours Martin Skrtel

We didnt play at all first half but didnt do so bad after the break when we went 4-4-2 and started to push on. We had them on the ropes after then pen went in and had Webb done his job and dismissed O'Shea thed game then takes on a different dynamic all together. Insult to injury that player delivered the cross for the winner. We have work to do but I feel there is the makings of a decent outfit and we will prove it long run. Tough start under difficult circumstances but two very winnable games coming up to kick start the campaign.

Benny I can only assume that you are so fired up that you have been able to salivate with your anti-Roy mates all afternoon that you have lost all sense of reason mate.

As such I'm not going to waste my time discussing football with you right now. I'll keep an eye on your posts, and if at some stage they beging to get more sensible, and you beging to post like an actual Liverpool supporter, we'll have a bit of a chin-wag then.

Im glad some people are happy with our worse start in 18 years.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Silly comment Lynds, silly comment.

Five points from five fixtures which included Man City Away, Birmingham Away, Manchester United Away, Arsenal at Home and a newly promoted team at Home is hardly the biggest shock in the World.

Probably more sensible is to look at how many poijts we picked up in the corresponding fixtures last season. I think it was five if I'm not mistaken.

A little bit of context never goes amiss.

can't believe the ease with which we let them cross the ball all day under little if no pressure, especially when we're blatantly so weak in the air.

Watch the second goal - konchesky out of position against Nani and failed once again to gett cross in - watch third goal and see Poulsen once again slow to close a player down - scholes .

I watched the game with my eyes open .

We had a great fighting ten to 15 mins and gerrard meireles looked very good . Other than that we were once again lacking creativity , sitting too deep , no pressing , no closing down , and totally toothless .

5 points from 15 points lying 16th in the Prem .

Koncheskey was not in Nani's pocket he did quite well, nani played well today and will cause problems for lots of left backs.
Dealing with the crosees is the first defensive crisis to look at!!

Sorry mate, still got an air of relish smeared all over it I'm afraid. Once you've calmed down and realised that we've got the same number of points from the fixtures that we got last season, then perhaps we can talk about it more sensibly.

I saw earlier that you thought that Mereiles was rubbish today. I'm afraid that comment has sealed your fate mate and I'm going to have to put you in the numpty bin. As such, I won't be taking of your observations on the game of association football seriously anymore. It's a shame and I don't like to do it, but you leave me no option.

Silly comment Lynds, silly comment.

Why is just last season always brought up Mick?  if we are going for the benchmark for rafa who finished, 7th, 5th, 3rd, 4th and 2nd lets meet somewhere halfway say 4th hey?

FACT 1: it is our worse start in 18 years.

FACT 2: we are 16th in the league.

FACT 3: Roy away from home in the Prem :

played 76, won 12, drawn 27, lost 37 can you tell me why we gave him the job ?

They may well all be facts Lynds, but you are omitting the most obviously relevent one. We got five points in the corresponding fixtures last season, we've got five points this season. Not much progress as of yet I'll grant you, but hardly regression either.

bigmick wrote:Defensively we haven't really learnt that much. We have been short of a commanding centre half for a few seasons now, and three goals today came from poorly defended crosses. That the plast one was put over by a player who unquestionably should have been sent off 15 minutes earlier doesn't make it any easier to take.

Defensively we are truly pathetic Mick. It's a very negative way of defending...
