MANCHESTER UNITED VS LIVERPOOL - Sunday, september 19th.

Liverpool Football Club - Games

another lacklustre performance by the lads.nani ran amok over konchesky.we sucked at defending crosses.again we created absolutely nothing in the final third, not a fecking shot at van der sar in 90 mins is shocking.
it took two fouls and one stevie gerrard to get us back in to the game, they were there for the taking then, and we should have at least held out for the point.
gerrard was great back in cm and poulsen was also fantastic, cole showed a few little runs and touches but his passing was off.maxi was terrible, the defending on crosses was abismal, ngog and jovanovich didnt make any real impact when they came on although the change of formation did.
thought babel should have played at some stage as he really couldnt have made us any worse.
meireles did good and looks like when he gels with the team he will improve us like wise with cole.
torres needs to improve but so does the service he gets.

Mate, I don't see a chasm in class difference between us and the mancs on paper....it seems though thta when it matters, these other teams can show a pair of balls, and we can't....

He just passes it 5 yards sideways - something Lucas gets stick for all the time on here . Im sure you stated somewhere that he would be as good as Masher if not an improvement on him ???

And that is what i found strange , I got laughed at for prefering Lucas over Poulson. Sorry but id take  Lucas over Poulson anyday

Anyway I'm going to go and pull a few pints. I'll leave the high fivers to think of more ways in whcih they can tell us that the five points we got last season from the corresponding fixtures which we have five points from this season is a disaster

Meireles looked good and could be a greta buy for us.  Poulson is a good footballer but it looks like he is suited to serie a not the prem.  We would have been better off getting Sissoko back if you just want a pure tackling beast.

I think it was a great urban myth mate. It was never so or so it appears.

Nobody said they "want him sacked" though, remember that because it's very important apparantly.

Why do you keep bringing Rafa and last season up? Serious question, people tell us to move on and get over it, but these same people are the ones that constantly bring Rafa up.

Inter won today and Rafa is currently sitting joint top of the league.

Where as we are 16th with our breath of fresh air.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Why must some people always harp back to last season - are they afraid to see the reality looking them in the face - we are in a new season now - last season has gone - its history now .

I think you might have got me mixed up with someone else Lynds. Where have I "brought anyone up"  ???

It just seems to me that for a bit of context and since people are saying we have gone backwards, comparing our results to corresponding fixtures last season is sensible. I'm sorry the results of the comparison don't fit in with the posse's agenda, but there's not a lot I or anyone else can do about that.

FFS. Some of you fans as loyal as you are, live in some fantasy dream land.

You obviously dont watch mutch football.

This is exactly what happens when you don't employ a top manager.

Roy Hodgson DOES NOT KNOW how to win a prem title, has not managed successfully any club (he took Inter out of Europe). and this is what happens when you take risks.

He will just "hit and hope" with tactics and selections all season, and hope for the best!

Clutching at straws mate.

As loyal and dedicated to this site as you are mate, convince me otherwise.... that i am wrong and you are right :Oo:

Very unusual for LFC managers to get only a 2-year contract, like "Woy". Most get 4 year deals. Why is this i wonder?

we look so different from last season.

People harp back to last season because we are in the same situation right now but most on here are showing different attitude than the last one and its bloody embarrassing to be honest. I'm telling ya most last season were saying '' the season is 38 games'' now we are seeing '' negative tactics, worst ever performance (I've seen worse!), I can't watch my team like that''... The SAME people who did not even say that kind of things before!!!!! whats wrong now?!?!?!? jeez

We should be playing a 4-1-2-1-2 once Kuyt comes back. With poulsen sitting at the bottom tip and meireles and Stevie the mobile ones and joe at the tip. This way Kuyt would be helping out Torres upfront as well as drifting wide. With full backs rampaging forward. Im sure if Masche was here he would have been great at the bottom tip but thats for another day.
