After just one game and you are questioning Dirk Kuyt's committment? Of all people?
Come on.. The whole team did not play well and not just some individual players.

Time and time again . LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB does not have decent wingers in the squad . The last decent player was Reira , but still not good enough . I agree kuyt is an important player for this club to have , but not an option to be used all the time . Good to be use sparingly .BUT if a club comes with a offer above 8 million , my opinion would be that its a good deal .

Yes he is an good  player , but its time to get someone more better , a more cultured winger with pace and a good crosser . LFC needs to get proper wingers for god sakes .

Not his best game, not anyone's. But I suspect, as usual, Kuyt, Lucas and to some degree Carra and maybe Skrtel will get the blame while other stars will have excuses made for them or just be ignored as "they aren't to blame"

Skrtel proved the liability I knew he was, lots don't see it. He's too blood and thunder, lucky to stay on the pitch and frankly I'd have sold him a season or so ago. Of course he wouldn't need to play if Woy bought a LB and didn't keep playing Agger out of position, but I guess it's ok because Woy is above criticism (for now) Riera could well be the new Jovanovic, whoops Freudian slip, got that the wrong way round! Looks good, delivers....................? ? ? Torres is quite clearly past it  :D as is Gerrard, but by the time Woy's finished shopping at grandads R us they will feel young and revitalised as the only players under 50 in the side!

Perhaps Dirk, having just come back from a successful World Cup campaign with Holland, may be looking at the rubbish side he's playing in, seen nothing much different under Woy and the signings Woy is making, and figures he is better off playing in a good team elsewhere. Probably figures Inter are worth a league title or two more before Rafa undoes it all, if he does of course  :;):  , and he's not going to win a trophy any time soon at Anfield. He's not getting any younger, our chances of lifting a trophy aren't getting any better

How much does a proper cultured and pacy winger cost these days?

I am sure Roy Hodgson and the rest of the supporters have the same sentiments as you. We missed out on James Milner when he left Newcastle for only 10 million to Villa and we missed on on Adam Johnson who left Boro for 5 million to City... How much do they cost now? Milner 25 million to City..

How many pacey, young, cultured wingers in the world cost less than 10 million these days??

Agree with Fowler Kuyt in a 4-4-2 doesnt work at all.
He isnt a winger, he is a right sided forward.

Roy got it wrong tonight with the formation and some of the selections.
But Kuyt and Jovanovic for that matter where really poor.
Even if they are not natural wingers things like passing, first touch and decision making should be far far better.
The two of them where for me our worst players last night but admittedly were not helped by the system and position they are in.

Somebody with speed, a good cross and skill.
Riera came very close to being just that exept he didnt have much speed and was very inconsistent.
Sell Kuyt, get Arda Turan :)

i agree with this. but only if the replacement is as good or if not better then Kuyt. Turan, ive never seen him play but he seems to be highly rated here so i shall go with the opinions of others.

as for Obinna, last i heard he was having a medical at West Ham?

No, but there is an agreement with West Ham. Inter are waiting because Moratti wanted to use him in a swap deal with Dirk Kuyt...

Football is a relatively simple game and Roy knows it ;)

Johnson is not a right mid - totally different way of playing to an attacking right back - Johnson looks good when he pushes forward into space and overlapps a right mid - he wouldnt do that playing right mid .

Kuyt was poor, but i'm not going to mark him out for criticism. Same for Lucas...it was a bad day all round and has to go down as a 'tried it, but fail' exercise.

I'm sure Roy knows it and will change things for the West Brom game.

i think dirk could be a great right back because you could tell him to just run up and down the touchline and not vear off anywhere. he could just huff the ball up and wouldnt have to cross the ball anymore which he struggles with or put babbel there because hes wasted anywhere else.

Muntari would be interesting and a sexy sort of a move if LFC panicked and said we have to make a move to make a move, but would prob end up backfiring big time. That can be said for any of the names on that Inter list.
