Ther is some definate xenephobia occcuring here, by most of the posters, me included, thats just the way of the world. Wed love a pure scouse team/manager, but we cant start insulting every other nation in the process

I'm not convined a British candidate is the solution. Strachan and Curbishley were linked in 2004 but they're not in the frame now. O'Neill's record is patchy plus he tends to prefer signing over-rated british players at Villa. Hughes is available but is he capable of managing Liverpool? It's the same story with the likes of McLeish. Hughes spent £100 million at City last summer but when he was sacked came off one win in ten.

I'm not convinced by Pellegrini. If there was one coach I'd say definitely it would be Guardiola but that won't happen. Of the other foreign ones I'd say Van Gaal, Deschamps or even Domenech are all top coaches.

Hes ok like, doesn't really stand out to me tbh. I wouldn't mind having a punt on Scolari. At Cheslea I think he was the victim of too many big egos there. But his wage demands may be too big.

It's interesting Nan I'll give you that; the main problem I would see is the type of contract
that he would want. He'll be looking for at least a 4 year one, but I don't think (IMO) we want to commit for that long.
