Thats my thinking too.  I know Rafa has made mistakes and perhaps a change in manager is needed eventually...

but at the moment, there is much bigger issues at the club.  like the possiblity of administration etc.

We need changes to be made at the very top first.  New owners need to come in and give us some stability and structure.

Once that is achieved, then we can review the manager and the squad we're left with.  lets face it, we're just not in a position to get a new manager.  Think of the questions any decent potential manager would ask.

Q:  How much can I spend?  A:  nothing.
Q:  Can i sell some players to make money?  A: No.
Q: What happens to that money?  A:It will help to pay off the  loans
Q:  What happens if the star players leave?  A:  We have great players like Insua and Ngog coming through the ranks.
Q:  Whats the target for this year?  A:  Do as well as you can considering we cannot afford to back you at all.

Administration isn't the worst scenario in the world.

It would -

* Force the owners to sell
* Get rid of the manager

Obviously we would incur a points deduction of 9 points but in all reality with the lack of transfer funding and no champions league next season the points deduction would make no real difference.

Gerrard and Torres may go regardless, so you cannot cite losing them as a risk if we go into administration.

The way I see it, is we swallow a hard season of administration to rid the club of the owners and manager.

To be honest, Martin Broughton's job sounds VERY similar to the job of an administrator.
Take over operations at the club.  (he is acting chairman).
Protect us from creditors.  (extensions on loans).
Try and get finance under control.  (looking for new buyer and no transfer funds.)

Maybe we're halfway there.

Can anyone with a bit more of an understanding of business than me, post some kind of "Administration for dummies" here, just listing pro's and cons lol.

As far as i can see, it would definitly make us have to rebuild from scratch almost.

I am not an expert, but the biggest con must be that it means to start from scratch.

We would get 9pts deduction and every player worth its salt would leave as it would take a couple of season sorting things out.

Biggest pro would be that the vermin would be gone and the price the club would be sold for would be market value and not a super inflated one.

As long as RBS gets their 237 million they would give a **** about the vermin. And at around that price I would think there would be a couple of buyers.

It would be bad, but at least it would give us a chance to start over in the PL and not somewhere else before it is too late...

It would obviously be a bad few years to get back on track but if the only other option is carrying on as we are with no hope of improving the squad then perhaps it is the only way out.

Theres meant to be a report going around made by a liverpool player, in it he has a blast at Rafa, the players agent is trying to stop the report from going to press, the agent is saying they report has not been taken they way it was meant.

so if report hit the press in the next few days take it with a big pinch of salt.

Wouldn't administration be the best thing for us the fans ? surely if that happened the owners would sell faster and for alot less I doubt it would get to the stage of us having to sell our best players ? ???

No, but the best players would want to leave as it would take
a couple of seasons to right the ship.

Not saying that won't happen anyway...

But right now the vermin have no intention of going into administration and RBS isn't prepared to go there yet either.

Administration is never a good thing, just the lesser of 2 evils.

Ive said it myself mate if it meant getting rid of these two and yes i understand a new manager will most prob be brought in . id take that points deduction,

Its getting worse waking up every morning now not knowing whats happening or whats gonna happen, Its horrible watching us slowly die , So if it means a points deduction and us starting from lower with new owners and a new manager .even though i want Rafa to stay i would bite your hand off . Cant take much more of this stress to be honest

That's correct and also there's a rumor saying that Rafa will leave within this week ...
