RAFA BENITEZ LEAVES LIVERPOOL - Official Thread, includes merged threads

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Sabre » Wed Jun 02, 2010 9:24 pm

If confirmed it's a sad day for me. Now all I'll say is thanks for the fifth, the F.A cup, and for staying here where you had offers from Real Madrid.

And after that I'll support the new manager, who I think will have a big fight with these two yanks at the helm.

Some had even stated privately that they would leave if Benitez stayed.

And I hope that the players who said this didn't use Rafa as a pretext for their selfishness and they actually stay now he's sacked. ???

Dont go Rafa lad stay and fight the :censored: with us ,

He has been San, he has been doing it for years. He could well have walked out a long time ago but it's because of the fans he is still here! But when I look at his face today compared with a few years ago you can just tell how stressed out he has been.

If he did leave I wouldn't blame him as it looks like there is no immediate way to take the club back into the top 4.

er...he's fatter and has a beard.

And your still a smart :censored: :censored::rasp

Personally I think it's all rubbish about players wanting out because of him mate. He won a European Cup and got to another European Final a few years later. The players know the fault mainly lies at the owners feet, it's not Rafa's fault he has had to work with chump change.

This is a bs story!

I know it's like a part of you being ripped out.  :( Let alone the fact that if it happened we would almost certainly not get in someone with as good a track record.

It's like being heartbroken all over again. Here stands a manager who is truly like every Liverpool fan. His heart beats to the tune of You'll Never Walk Alone, he's given every ounce of his strength and energy, dedication and commitment to our club over these six years, he gave me the greatest night of my life and many can relate, he made me believe at a time when I couldn't believe.

If this is Rafa's end then I will always remember him with a great fondness. Thank you for everything Rafa, brother.  :)

Mirror reporting he has been sacked and it's on SSN now about a meeting taking place regarding his future. It doesn't look good.  :(

This is so crazy, Rafa is being sacked/forced out of the club based on bad season after he finished the second the season before without no support from the board and a board that gave him nothing to spend and a board that underminded at every turn for the past three years.

We are no better than Chelsea or Real Madrid. Prepare to see a mass exodus of players, I can see Reina leaving too.
