Although Mourinho is a class manager, I really don't want him

Without their £16million Bav? I doubt that VERY much mate.

Did he leave when similar incidents with owners happened before he renewed his contract?

Looks like we're in for another round of Rafa Benitez posturing.  :help

While I think that Rafa is a decent manager who mostly did a good job at Liverpool given the circumstances, his dealings with the club through the media in which he constantly played on the fans' fears of him leaving has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. Take whatever side you want on Rafa - and I have been largely pro Benitez - but you can't deny his whisperings, innuendo and double talk about his relationship with the owners over the past couple of years have not been the Liverpool way.

While I do believe that he has genuine affection for the club he is after all looking after his own back in all of this. I think he is buying some time with both Liverpool and Juventus by waiting and seeing whether new owners come in sooner rather than later and what their plans are. However, ultimately I feel that if Juve give him a take it or leave it offer he'll go to them, and to be honest about the matter, he'd be mad not to.

Theres a multitude of arguements for and against Rafa's management style, be it his team selections, rotations, tactics & absence of man management, but on balance I think Rafa brought more to the table here than people give him credit for.

However, ultimately Rafa made a lot of mistakes in the transfer market & at a club with limited resources, this is ultimately what has killed him. He gambled massively on the likes of Keane & Aqualani and both of these gambles didn't work out, and he'll have to live with these decisions.

Have you heard something ciggs ?

I wont be gloating if/when he goes, but i will think its for the best.

Thanks for all the effort and everything Rafa, thanks for Istanbul - the best night (football wise of my life)
Thanks for the FA cup knocking the mancs and Chelsea out on the way.

But things went wrong, and this season for me cant be written off as a blip.
Not enough was done my Rafa to change things when they clearly were not working.
He has seemed too stubborn and allowed this to cost us big time.
And make no mistake this could be a major major set back this season not qualifying for the champions league.

We are desperate to get new owners in asap, IF this can happen for me the first thing they need to do is say, Rafa you have had your chance but we are looking for a fresh start.
Get someone else in and get the players back up for it.
Fans can blame the players all they like for not being up for it etc etc.
If you dont believe in what you are doing its hard to be motivated.
I have done jobs in my own work where i have been told to do them and i dont agree with it at all, now while i still get on with it...i dont think i performed as well as i could of because my heart wasnt in it.

New man - new start, asap, simple as.

The posting of sarcastic laughing smileys and the insults towards him p!ss me right off, the club is in absolute turmoil and people are gloating sitting there behind their pcs with a feckin big grin on their faces absolutly made up about him leaving.

I dont find it amusing none of it !!!!

unless we get a sugar daddy in and a world class manager we will be another Leeds in a season or two.

Cech didnt leave when Mourhino left Reina loves liverpool thats why hes staying not because of Rafa.

Ignore the people like that ciggy.

I agree stuff like that isnt nice to see but its just like the divvy in the match or at the pub that shouts rubbish. They are in the minority.
Lots of fans want a change of manager now but are far from happy with it.
Myself, i have just come to accept that to move forwards (new owners or being stuck with those 2 tw@ts) we need a new manager regardless.
I dont agree that he has got the best out of what he has had.

I do agree that its been a ridiculous situation with his hands tied this last 18 months in the transfer market.
But he has got things horribly wrong and his stubborness and unwillingness to change things has cost us this season.

I dont see him changing and i think we are going backwards too quickly to allow things to go on.

I am certainly not happy and feel sorry for Rafa, he gave it his all. But i care more for the club and am genuinely concerned with how far backwards (the team..not the club) is going under his management.
The bracketed part was to highlight i think Rafa is taking the team backwards, and i KNOW the owners are taking the club backwards as well.

But we cant only blame the owners on whats gone on this season, to me thats making excuses for the manager.

Last week in madrid when Purslow was walking past the fans.

Liverpool fan - "Christian, are you going to get rid of these Yanks"
Purslow - "oh yes"
Liverpool fan - "and get them to take Rafa with them"
Purslow puts thumb up - "he's gone, he's gone"
