Blaming the coach m8 because in my opinion his set up for the game was a poor one, Im not gonna start saying Roy out or using a defeat to blatter on about the ex-manager but 442 is a system that has come in for alot of scrutiny recently, because of its ineffectiveness against a strong team who play with 5 in midfield. To add to that, Im sure most of the team that started tonight would have been more comfortable setting up in a 4231 that we've played every match so far this season, not to mention most of the last 3 years under the previous coach. For me there was no value in this choice and now we've took a hiding against one of our top 4 rivals in a game where every Liverpool player has looked lost to what he was supposed to be doing. I just hope Roy is a big enough man to admit that he got it wrong tonight so we arn't having this same debate when we play the Mancs in a few weeks time.

I wonder will Andy Gray be sucking Roy's balls after this and still be praising the system, which is quiet literally redundant in the modern game. We got swamped in the midfield from the outset.

someone remind he where we finished in the league in Rafa's first season.

you've set yourself up here Kewell

Rafa won the CL in his first season and then improved in the league and got CL football in all of the seasons we were here (bar his last)

no i haven't lad, IN THE LEAGUE we were awful..5th place we finished and struggled to get results against the likes of HULL.

Lucas isn't good enough people, it is so blatant and it makes the decision to loan out Aqua even more mind boggling.  I don't know the extent of his injuries but Lucas? Really?  He is so average it's not even funny.

You can blame him for doing nothing while we are beeing overrun in the midfield.

You cant judge the bloke yet, the feckin transfer window hasnt even closed!

Im judging him on the formation we played against Arsenal and tonight 4-4-2 when in reality it was 10-1 like he set his teams up in the past, he is way out of his debt, cant believe he said he hopes we wont be in for a 6-0 thrashing before kick off.  :no

well at least he doesn't ''guarantee'' top 4

   he hasn't maed a t"t of himself either, which Rafa did on a regular basis. FACT

Yes Hodgson should be given time but go and read the predictions thread and people are talking about winning the title and easily getting into the CL spots above teams like city spurs and arsenal yet we are already falling behind those guys and look at the results - we are only missing one player and have no creativity at all and don't have any to bring in . Maybe people will realise their expectations are a little high and lower them to more realistic standards that fit our situation .

All them in the ground apparently.

Tedious tw@t? no dont think so, just being honest that Roy is not good enough to be our manager end of.

Do us a favour and wait until we have played at least 20 matches before you spout sh!t like that.

U dont need 20 games to tell we were setup wrong for this match and never could figure it out for 90mins.

Hodgson is an average manager who should've been left to earn his pension at Fulham not saddled with the responsibilty of managing a top club...

Average Manager?

Ive never heard of an Average manager that has managed Inter Milan and then nearly won the Europa cup with a side that was fighting for relegation a season earlier.

And yes the setup for this match was wrong. Im saying wait 20 games before you judge him as manager, not how he sets the team up.

thats an excuse for rafa, doesnt apply to Roy.

it always applied, though some want to see that as the issue now, thats all

it only became an issue after a couple of 20million flops and poor sales.

Hull were in the prem in Rafa's first season?  ???

look, he gave us the Champions League for Christ sake, how do you think Roy would fare in that competition?

You'd have sacked Rafa for his league finish in his first season

Top 4 for a club like Liverpool isn't something that should be talked about, it should be expected, a minimum - Rafa won the competition that every team strives to get into

I know how you feel, I think you're overacting a little, but I know how you feel...

Funny thing is I'm an actor and have been accused of overacting before.  :D

But yeah ... maybe over-reacting a bit.  This result just hurts. I'm starting to really struggle watching football these days.  I hate all the money and greed.
