Good game. But, in fairness, we were playing a pretty bad opponent.

In two minds about taking the foot off the peddle though. If 4th comes down to goal difference at the end, we may regret not trying to bash in a few more in this game.

The team set up seemed good today.

I can only hope Benitez was paying attention.

Cracking first half , settled down a bit in the second but we were still streets ahead.

Presumably Rafa was saving Lucas for the "big game" against Benfica

Good solid performance.

Highlights for me:

1. Torres 2 superb goals - both very different. Both world class.

2. Rushie and Tommo's little cameo.

3. "He's got an 'ed like a beachball....." :laugh:

Next - Benfica.

.....where we should take 'a lot of confidence' from today in going over there. Tough job though.

Best performance of the season should have trashed them but good result alltogether

Couldn't avoid viewing even in a day as today the hopeless and helpless player which Babel is ,what a waste of space this lad is ,one can only wander what is going inside this guy's head - why he stayed and Riera was shipped....

Great game to count on for Thursday.(Just keep Lucas on the bench).
