Liverpool v Cardiff 3pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

I like Warnock and I think Klopp respects him too, he said we where unbeatable but will try everything to stop that from happening.

Cardiff will try and keep the ball off the pitch by eating up time and pumping crosses into our 6 yard box in posession. Some will say an archaic tactic but it's not easy to defend either.

Yeah we should and frankly its a must win but it will be a battle and I'm sure we are ready for one.

Shin pads a must, perhaps a suit of armour.

I would like to see pretty much the same line-up as against Red Star, but I really think Robertson needs a rest. Also maybe Sturridge in place of Firmino or Salah, but other than that I'd go for the same line-up. Looking forward to seeing Fabinho, hope he starts again.

Don't like Warnock at all  :no We had a few battles with his teams in the cups over the years and he just comes across as a right dick.

Anyway excited about this one after the other night. I hope we go with the same line up that started that game. Don't like saying we are a shoe in or anything but if the lads are in the same form we could bag a few  :nod

Warnock is trying mind games with his statements in the build up for this. You can be sure he will be telling his lads to get stuck right in to us if needs be.

I guess rotation is inevitable (Robbo can't play every match) and Cardiff is a good a side as any to give some fringe players a chance.

I'm going for 3-1 to the might reds   :buttrock

Fabinho starts again.
Great to see him again.

Lallana too. He really needs to prove himself today, and his fitness levels.

Klopps got real options in Midfield now when all fit.

Moreno for Robertson!??? :D

Glad Robbo isn't playing. Better choose when to play Moreno than be forced to play him. Happy with the rest of the squad as well (Gomez needed a rest as well), should be good enough to win.

Poor goal to concede, Allison could have done better, still shouldn't be an issue but with Lovren and Moreno in defence I would prefer we had a 2 goal cushion.

Our attack must have looked at the defence and thought, better score some more goals :D

Can't believe we conceded at home after such a long time against these. Oh well, at least we won, good game overall and managed to rest a few. Glad to see the attack back in form again, especially Salah who was MOTM today. Roll on next week.

We were ALWAYS going to conceed with Moreno and Lovren back in the defence.  I take comfort that neither will play a part in the Arsenal game next week.

Let's hope Spuds do us a favour and turn over City on Monday.
