Cardiff City v LIVERPOOL Sun 21st April 4.00pm KO

Liverpool Football Club - Games

Postby damjan193 » Sun Apr 21, 2019 9:07 pm

Didn't watch the game but good result for us. Glad to see Gini scoring a goal and back in form, we'll need him at full strength for these last few games.

Didn't see any comments about Fabinho going off 5 mins after coming on. Did he get injured?

Accidental clash of heads...decided to take him off for his own safety

We don't need any unnecessary injuries at this stage so that's good to hear, as long as there was no concussion or anything.

Not a convincing win but three points nonetheless. We go again.

Well in lads, what a fantastic season

Now I have to feel real dirty and cheer on ManU for first time in my entire life

It's going to be a very soapy, mouthwash Thursday

Guts, determination, desire and a lot of skill. Another excellent performance knowing that anything other than a win wouldn’t be enough. Amazing goal by Gini and it was away from home. Can’t believe that some idiots are suggesting Mo dived when he was clearly rugby tackled to the ground. Doesn’t Milly take a good penalty. Hope Fab is ok because we need him.

The dream goes on. Just hope my heart can

It was a clear pen, I'm not even sure what the defender was thinking, it was like he was trying to get Mo in one of those rear choke holds you see in MMA, he was literally wrestling him.

Are people actually saying that was a dive? the defender held him for like 10 seconds, not letting him move, before finally rasing his arms to Salah's neck, at which point the ref had enough. He may not have wresled him down but holding him for that long is bad enough, even without the choke hold part at the end.

Bit nervous watching that one, as I thought it could've been 'one of those days' but it's pertinent to remember this isn't the Liverpool of recent years gone by as Klopp has made this team a different beast altogether with a never say die attitude. Such a huge transformation and whatever happens in the title race, the club, players and fans can hold their heads high. I think we've been nothing short of brilliant and it's been a great season for me, no matter the outcome. We may not have the league in our hands but it is testament to the manager and players that we've closed an 18 pt gap done from last season to a Rizla paper this. Huge improvement, great achievement. We do however, have the CL in our hands and to be in the hunt for two huge trophies at this time of year makes me one proud Red.  :buttrock

Kenny Kan - mate at the end of last season we were 25 points behind City not 18 or have I misread what you are saying ?? Nobody with half a brain would have expected us to bridge the gap in such an impressive manner and only lose one game in 35 and that was against a shower of financial abusers..... As you say the transformation has been amazing.

Great win after a very nervous start and  Gini goal was very much overdue, above all 3 points a welcoming outcome, the league will be decided by tomorrow! We need luck because destiny is not in our hands!

Good luck lads

Great post, what an amazing season we've had, I plan to enjoy the rest of it no matter what happens. 2009, 2014 we were very good, this season we've been the real deal.
