That team put out was well capable, so don't be under any illusions that it wasn't. The first half proved that. For some inexplicable reason, they lost their balls in the second half. Just a series of individual errors that let them back into the match and some of these lot just didn't know how to deal with it. F*ckin gobshytes. The ref went a bit mental with those red cards. You always knew that after the United game that if Carra even made the same kind of error, or even slipped and trailed a player down by mistake, that he'd be instantly red carded. The refs in this league have no f*cking balls, and never have.

No, if the team was capable of winning then we would have won the game easily, the team that was put in today looked like a midtable team, absolute disgrace, you can't defend the decisions today, I've been supporting Rafa, but today was un :censored:ing believable.

I did say the team he put out was capable. It wasn't that much different to the team last Sunday, and our first half performance reflected it. At the very minimum, the side should have been knocking on a door for win but taking a draw. Not this f*cking shambles of a display in the second.

Charlie Nicholas just summed it up pretty well. We were too slow in the build up and there was no urgency from the midfield.

Lucas was getting forward a bit but not much. Only Benayoun was looking to link up with the forwards but 1 threat from midfield is easy to mark. I'd have much preferred Babel to have been brought on in midfield to give us a more dynamic midfield.

Voronin seems to be one of those players who thinks he can do anything. I don't want to see our forwards chasing back into our box. Get up the pitch!!!

Damn, so many great managers here by the looks of some posts.
Sack Rafa and get You as a coach with 2 dic*head at the helm. We'd win 10-0 against Fulham, sigh.
Stick with the team.

We seemed to give up as soon as Torres went off (injury or rafa? ) who knows why !

True. I noticed. That's the million dollar question. There are sometimes you can see why and it's obvious, but that has me baffled. The silly b@stard should know better, because as soon as he makes a decision like this, it's going to be blown into catastropic proportions if it goes t*ts up, which it did.

To be fair (and I am no Rafa lover) Torres wasn't having a good game apart from his goal, and was taking a lot of heavy punishment. I don't think the team should have buckled like they did.

Bullsh!t, I remember Lucas made a lot of good forward passes today, our forwards just wasted them.

I'm not saying he didnt.  What I'm saying is a forward pass is not the 1st thing either look for.  Far too often they play sideways when a forward pass is on.  Neither have a great range of passing and we suffer because of it.

Well, that was nothing short of terrible.

We're not the luckiest team - we hit the bar, then Zamora (Zamora!) scores, injuries, etc. That game was tailor made for Aquiliani to come on for the last 30 mins and ding a few passes about but he comes down with a virus? Damn.

Rafa did have one eye on the Lyon game. A part of me says I can't blame him - we need CL money. We NEED it. We are going to find ourselves way behind Chelsea, Mancs, Arsenal and Citeh financially in the next few years anyway and if we're knocked out of the CL at the group stage we're fooked. The beginning of the end.
But taking off Torres when the game is 1-1 was a nightmare decision. If I was a Fulham defender I would be breathing a massive sigh of relief. The man is capable of scoring from anywhere. And then Benni? It's inexcusable. You make sure the game is in the bag, then rest your best players.

I've said it time and time again - we don't have a plan B. We were in control of that game in the first half and were unlucky to go 1-0 down. But (and it's a big but) Fulham were able to rethink at half time and change things around. Fulham were.

We can't. And never have. We don't have a Plan B. Our plan B is 'play better'. Rafa needs to know that one style of play is never going to be good enough.
AND HERE COMES AVI COHEN!! OH I SAY - AT THE SAME END HE'S GOT ONE BACK!!!!!!!!!!

:Oo:
Why not ?

1-1 at half time.. should have tried to go for it and maybe give us control of the game rather than take off our best player and hand them the game on a platter... Voronin for Babel and play Kuyt upfront would have been the rational sub, with Benny moving back to the right..... Wouldnt have put us under so much pressure... got it wrong but still dont think we should be looking at sacking him now... If things are going bad by christmas then maybe we could consider his position then but for now hes the man to get us out of the sht hes got us stuck in...

Yeah I did mate been saying to my mates and the mrs for years now I never thought he win as prem last year was a shock but in end he mucked it up with that Rant or what ever you wanna call it but in end I just know he isn't type of manager who can win this league.I was hoping he could prove me wrong but he hasn't let me down has he ?

To win the prem you A. have to spend what money you have better. B. in games you drawing 1-1 you have to try and win the game but he didn't do that.

rafa sold the better players and replaced them with incapable ones. it would've been so much different if we had Crouch, Cisse and Keane instead of Voronin and Babel. his poor record in the transfer market is the reason why we have a poor bench.
