Is there any real way back now for Rafa? Even if G&H held of sacking him he would only be just 1 more outburst away from the boot and Rafa isnt the sort of manager to work with a leash round his neck. :(

That don't mean sh*t until he gets it embossed on the back of his b*llocks. Then I'll be half impressed.

if thats the case, then only his boyfriend will see it when he's bent over. what use is that

I think that whatever happens one thing this has proved is that Parry's a useless cu.nt!

By now he should have made a statement but he's obviously sitting in his office playing solitare and thinking about his next holiday. When he was kept on it was obviously only in title as he doesn't seem to have any power to make any decisions (not that he made any decisions when he did have the power).

It's a disgrace the way our club is being run and whether the problems are real or not the silence can only mean bad news!

Other managers have worked tirelessly to create a "them and us", the "team against the World" mentality and now we are in a situation where such a scenario is really happening before the players eyes. I think we'll see off Porto without too many problems, and then it seems to me we are two victories away from making Rafa practically unsackable. Beat the Mancs at home and Marseilles away and nobody could pull the trigger on the manager then.

I'm just a little concerned by the apparent lack of any vocal support in the press from the players. I'm not overly surprised that Crouch isn't on the back page of every paper extolling the selection methods of Rafa, but a word from the captain wouldn't have gone amiss.

There's no question though that if do it right, we can create a little bunker mentality and make ourselves a very difficult team indeed to play against.

On your coments regarding lack of vocal support Mick from the players youve hit the nail on the head ,

If i remember rightly didnt Stevie Gerrard air his views and vocal support when McClaren was getting slated by every Tom. Dick.and Harry. I would of expected some comment of support for Rafa from him or Carra as senior members and scousers of our team .

There's been an awful lot of cr*p going on for a while now and the truth about Raffa/Pako Raffa/Crouch Raffa/Anyone who doesn't agree with him will never be known. He is the best manager we've had since Paisley.
As I have to keep telling myself, the world's changed since those days and the senario we saw in the fifties when Shanks fronted the board, and won, have gone.
I wouldn't trust the Yanks with my kids hamsters, never mind my team but at the end of the day MONEY will always win, even if it's the phoney money like these gets have come up with.
The players keeping quiet is worrying and it makes you wonder why?.
The specter of Maureen is looming large.

Possibly just keeping keeping their heads down while "Mum and Dad" have a ruck ?. Often the best policy.

The point our American owners are missing is that owning a top 'soccer' club in England is risky business. You have to take chances and invest in the club at every opportunity and when you can otherwise you lose out to competitors who then get more and more ahead of you.

There is potential loss but thats the risk. They shouldve known this from the beginning. Look at the debt ManU have for instance. Not for one minute would I want to have quite the debt they do but they are a successful winning team who invest when its needed.

The reality is we will miss out on potential targets if we do not act swiftly and if Rafa is interesting in adding a significant signing to our squad in Jan, mid Dec is cutting it very fine.

The players we will be interested in will be sought after by many teams and we've gotta be on our toes.

Its practical and sensible what the Americans are trying to do but in football, if you want to challenge, its not the right approach. Its a ruthless sport in terms of transfers.

At the end of the day they will lose more money if we are not successful on the pitch. They've gotta invest when they're advised by the professionals like Rafa rather than presuming as businessmen they know whats best.

No one knows whos running the club the Yanks visit every three months Foster Gillett has got fed up with his toy and gone back to the States.

Foster Gillett was supposed to take charge at the club and be here every day left on a flight after the Arsenal game back to the States hasnt been seen or heard of since, only that he went to a Celine Dion concert in Las Vegas.

Rick Parrys gone AWOL, Rafa wanted a CH and Mascherano, they dont want to give him the money.

They are not happy with the results against Portsmouth and Birmingham, not happy that Torres didnt play, not happy with the CL results, not happy that we played one upfront against Arsenal and didnt play Crouch.

Not happy with Rafa since Athens not happy that we arnt top of the league.

Its looking grim I am sorry that these two snides took over our great club when they cant even run it properly.

Aldo and Reidey said the yanks should have been over now to sort this shite out with them not coming and not likely to until the 16th of december things are going to get worst.

Rafa plants the Bayern & Real Madrid rumours Gillett, Hicks and Parry have planted these new stories only they are not rumours they are true they want shut by the looks of it.

These two are going to turn us into Newcastle & Spurs and sack the manager every few months I can see it now

Some good points raised, some elementary errors.

"Its looking grim I am sorry that these two snides took over our great club when they cant even run it properly."

G&H are the owners of the business, its not their job to run the club. They have Foster G and Rick Parry to do that so if there is a communication or management issue it should be sorted out locally at Anfield between the local management who then include it in whatever communication they have with the owners.

I cant comment on when Foster is doing a good job or whether he is upto it. If he´s outta town then I can only assume it is because of pressing enagements elsewhere - they´ve just completed refinancing the loan structure for the purchase, put the stadium money in place and got the permissions so to me, its logical if the fella needs to zip back stateside to meet with the owners and attend to other business this would be the time to do it - having a local senior director in Parry holding the fort back at Anfield.

Parry´s gone AWOL.  Great generalisation if you want the fella to sound like a street sweeper bunking off. Maybe he is negotiating tv rights, sponsership, a far east tour for next year or a finance deal to purchase new players. He´s not a desk-wallah or teaboy, his job is to get out there and maximise the value of the club. If he´s out of town then there is a good reason and I´m sure he´s in daily contact with both Rafa, the club and Foster.

The reason G&H arent coming over before the 16th is because they have local management to run the club on a daily basis. Its not a sweet shop where the owner stands behind the counter.

What folks in general are struggling is coming to terms with LFC now being part of a corporation and not a homely family run club as it was under David Moores. Shout at a muliti-national and you can expect a very short, sharp response. If there are issues to air, then there are methods for doing this. One comment was that G&H dont understand the football transfer window. Fine, get Parry to explain it to Foster, who tells the owners, then Rafa tells him how he´d like to play it. Put in a transfer fund request with justification and explain how it will affect his business plan. Childishly repeating a single comment 14 times in a press conference....... come on, thats school yard stuff.

Everyone has to learn to work within the new system, Parry, Foster, Rafa and of course G&H from their new position have to become more knwoledgeable about football, the premiership, transfer windows and the quirks and church that is LFC.

Throwing mud in public achieves nothing but highlights the communication issue that exists. The only solution is for G&H, Moores, Foster, Parry and Rafa (in that order of seniority) to sit down, agree that there are issues then rework the standard preocedures and communication structure within the business. Otherwise logically it cannot continue like this and something will have to break.

It the club loses Rafa, the gameplan is put back 5 more years and 70 million pounds so G&H dont want that - the success of the club is needed to pay off the new stadium. Rafa doesnt want to leave because he´s getting used to the idea of being a scouser but at the end of the day, its easier for Rafa to walk away and straight into a top job at Juve, Real Madrid, England or Bayern whatever than it is for G&H to walk away.

They´ll sort it out and I´d love to be a fly on the wall in that one.

Cheers
Reg
