I'm hoping it was part of the deal, so the new owners are not tarnished with sacking the manager as their first act.  Might not be popular with the fans....

Why? Why would you want players who are not playing for the sake of the football club first and foremost, nevermind if they don't get on with the manager or not. I'll say this: if Torres and Gerrard have anything to do with getting a manager the sack at this football club, then I want them sold ASAP. They can f*ck right off. You can just imagine the likes of Paisley or Shanks getting the jib of players. What would they do? They'd f*ck them off, that's what they'd do. Say what you want about Ferguson, but if you cross him, as good as a player you may be, you're gone. That's how it should be at this football club, but now we have players supposedly dictating the show? That's not Liverpool football club. That's a f*ckin farce where money and player power does the talking.

It is hard to blame one person.....

But David Moores would be a good start
