I don't think we did manage it last season. Last season we were luckier than this season with injuries so our strength in depth was never tested. This season it was exposed and there for all to see.

We lost to Spurs with a full team, Aston Villa with a full team , and thats two out of our first 3 games mate. Hardly down to squad depth?

ok so the word slags might be a bit strong, but talking negative about the clubs set up  and the way he spoke about his contract did not go down well with me, there are some thing i think is the manager responsibility to keep out of the press.

He's right. F*ck sake, even when I was a teenager about 10 years ago I knew the club was being run terribly. We've been run by a pack of d*cks for the past 15 years or more. Scouting system, youth set up, all archaic to say the least. Houllier was in the midst of sorting the youth system out, but got the jing before any benifit was seen. That's now our problem. We want instant success, but we don't have the money for that to happen. You're either in it for the long haul or f*ck all.

I for one will be glad if he stays. He's a top manager and deserves the respect of the fans. Ok so he made some mistakes but I don't think we would be able to get as good a manager if he went.

We look to be signing some promising homegrown youngsters now all he needs is to be able to spend whatever he brings in, maybe give him 25mil on top of that and we can try and get 4th place next season.

sorry i just dont back a man that got his agent meeting other clubs since before xmas and only when talk fail he then says he would like to stay at the club, if it was a player we would be saying, make sue the door dont hit you on the way out.


Add to the fact that i feel the club should only aim to win the prem for the next 5 years and take the CL as it comes. Rafa 1no has also been the CL and he will never change on that.

the only way for me he could syat is if a new person was put next to him, i also dont feel he is great in buying players, 56 or the 77 players he has taken to the club it less than 1-4 hit rate, more like 1 in 10 and thats being kind to him.

he has too much power in the clubs set up, his ideas on young players is to buy them in and not to see what we can grow our own.

i don't think you need to get so upset, saint, mate. i don't think woof was trying to be deliberately insulting there. we know he's not one to mince his words - infact he has a history of traveling to hot and humid countries with the express purpose of shooting at people ffs, so we shouldn't be expecting pleasantries.
