If your biggest rivals are backing your manager then you know you've got the wrong man. We are the joke of the country, the club is in a mess and they still don't know how to sack a manager who's not up to job.

That's a ridiculous and cynical notion to have...

Rafa isn't any of them, I don't name them in this sentence because to me that's an insult to the great names I could name. Football is different, those greats might have found it hard going for all we know. Sure they assembled great sides, but half of them had the big name of Liverpool to attract footballers when that counted for more than money, now money calls the shots. As for what they would or wouldn't do to win a trophy, again it would depend. Sure if they were competing for all trophies season after season they would, but if they had to sacrifice a tin pot to make sure they could win the big prize the next season then I wouldn't be too sure they'd not sacrifice the tin pot - that said their side would be many times better so that wouldn't have been an issue, but that's no never mind to some on here who bring in their "big guns" as if it proves something
EDIT : and what perhaps annoys me most if the people who now mention Shanks, Paisley, Dalglish with regular monotony to try and prove a point have probably mentioned them more times than in ther previous 10 years - what does that say about them......................................

Let Rafa get on with doing what he does best, coaching, and leave the signing of players to someone who is good at it. Rafa has surrounded himself with "yes men" since the two Paco's left. We need someone that he WILL LISTEN TO. No matter how good or bad you are as a manager there are always times when someone needs to stand up and say I think you are wrong...... something I don't think happens anymore at Liverpool, at least not without being moved on rather quickly.
