I couldn't believe his call for so many more players. I know some people have "net" mentality, that we don't just add players but do sell some - shocker that! But what has he bought in the last two seasons that will change our prospects? Nada. So what chance the next 4-5 will make FA difference. He's probably clinging to some hope we'll get rich owners and he'll be given a big pot of money to spend waste

I'm more and more coming to the conclusion last season was a luck assisted one-off, this season we're so dependant on luck that we're losing one in three because it isn't coming to our rescue. Sure we fought hard, but how many of those wins were truly convincing?

Shelve plans for 4-5 new players, pencil in one new manager. Are we any closer to the ultimate goal than we were when Rafa arrived? 4-5 new players needed wouldn't suggest so after 4-5 seasons of two steps back and forth. Problem is we have to sell multiple bodies just to fund one signing most of the time and not many of his signings increase in value.

His Villa team at the moment although have challenged for the top four, are incredibly one dimentional. If they cant get past the opponents full backs then they are just essentially a long ball team. He has actually spent quite a bit of money at Villa as well, and quite a lot has been wasted. If anyone thinks that Rafa's football is boring then prepare to die of boredom if O'neill comes in.

It would pain me to see that man jumping up and down in his tracksuits for liverpool.

I bet he's the same when playing games on PC or games console!

I don't think I could stand the leprechaun being our manager either, just one of those people who people lap up because he SOUNDS like he knows what he is talking about. People with glasses can talk ballacks you know! We'd buy up England 2nd and 3rd XIs, they'd not improve and the football wouldn't either. I'm not sure if I'd hate having him or Josie in charge of us more.

And don't forget what happened last time a former old firm manager managed us..........................

Interesting read, more for the names and "where are they" than the inevitable circular debate of "net spends" and all that cobblers. Doesn't matter where the money came from, how many of the signings were worth it is the bottom line

Someone insulting Rafa on the internet is going to be a death penalty offence, if committed in cyberspace over a country with the death penalty.................................

Rafa, please just go....i wouldn't trust with cash to buy me 4-5 packets of sweets, let alone 4-5 world class players.
