I couldn't believe his call for so many more players. I know some people have "net" mentality, that we don't just add players but do sell some - shocker that! But what has he bought in the last two seasons that will change our prospects? Nada. So what chance the next 4-5 will make FA difference. He's probably clinging to some hope we'll get rich owners and he'll be given a big pot of money to spend waste
I'm more and more coming to the conclusion last season was a luck assisted one-off, this season we're so dependant on luck that we're losing one in three because it isn't coming to our rescue. Sure we fought hard, but how many of those wins were truly convincing?
Shelve plans for 4-5 new players, pencil in one new manager. Are we any closer to the ultimate goal than we were when Rafa arrived? 4-5 new players needed wouldn't suggest so after 4-5 seasons of two steps back and forth. Problem is we have to sell multiple bodies just to fund one signing most of the time and not many of his signings increase in value.
