we are in desperate need of a striker... but such has been Kenny's appalling signings how on earth can u trust him? Allow a loan signing and thats it, then evaluate where we are in the summer. My concern is the owners are clueless and have very little knowledge of running a club. Allowing him to spend 35 million on a player worth less than 15 was cringeworthy. Its like they have no concept of worth.

Kenny has continued here from where he left off at Newcastle where he signed....Andreas Andersson, Jon Dahl Tomasson, Stephane Guivarc'h.. for a fortune, and after 5 years of Beardsley, Ferdinand, Cole, Asprilla, where Newcastle were on a constant upward curve...his signings ended them.

I love Kenny as a man, and what hes done for the club, but i wouldnt allow him anywhere near transfers.

Hodgson spends that cash we are screaming from the rooftops for him to be sacked (which im not in any way doing with Kenny i should add).

Kenny wont recoup what hes wasted, but removing the problem with as little deficit as possible will be a major step forward.

but Kerry is slowing becoming an extremist. you talked abt Kenny's bad signing but dont you know how far behind are we on 4th place?

Sigh... Podolski's being linked with the ... What's a German doing in a French club. Would've loved for us to sign him. Bent is a good choice too though... He can have the same effect as Bellamy and he's more likely gonna be alot more prolific than Carroll...

Bent is a good choice too though... He can have the same effect as Bellamy and he's more likely gonna be alot more prolific than Carroll...

What you have to also consider is that Bent plays almost 100% of games when fit. His Goals ratio to mins on pitch is not even in the Top 20 Premiership Goalscorers.

At Charlton, Sunderland and Villa he was/is first choice and always plays so it skews his goals output. At Spurs he didn't always start and his record was very poor.

I wouldn't rush out and buy someone like we did last season when we splurged £35 Million on Carroll. January is an awful time to bring in new players and I've never liked it.

Peter Odewinge is worth a punt as long as we don't spend silly money. The alternative is to sit this one out and build for next season and hope we pick up one of the Cups.
