POST-MATCH DISCUSSION THREAD - LIVERPOOL 2 - FULHAM 0 (11/10/07)

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I agree with a lot of whats been said - Sami was excellent. Mascharano, Voronin and Benayoun also caught the eye. Torres looks class whenver he played. Ryan Babel also seems to be growing in confidence too. Things really are looking up - the team are playing their way back to form, Torres, Kewell, Agger, Pennant and Alonso are still to come back and were still in touch with the leaders. I'm getting excited just thinking about it!!

"It wasn't working for them. That is why they brought on three substitutes. One at £25m, one at £11m and one at £5m. I think there should be a cap on the price of players you can bring on, maybe no more than £20m of players,” he declared.

"I felt we were heading for a point, and so, I think, did 43,000 other people.

"But Liverpool brought a bit of talent off the bench and it changed the game. I actually felt that Torres mis-hit his final shot, and that is what confused Hughes and Niemi. It was a soft goal in the end to concede.

Didn't anyone think Mascherano gave the ball away a bit too much?

Unusual for him.

i was only saying, it was another dominating performance and it looked like all we were gonna get was another draw.  Reason i wanted to start a thread was because i have 4 spares for Newcastle away on 24th, and want to sell them to another red (face value). ANy1 interested pm me with a contact number and we can arrange something.

Obviously the pundits on the TV didn't highlight this for you.

He gave the ball away (when not under pressure) on a number of occasions.
